Graham v. Obama: Preacher's Kid Knocks President Over Islam Stance {Politics Daily}

May 5th 2010 7:14PM Chuck...I agree with you. You should run for office with a campaign statement of "We don't suck...or swallow...the alternative to the tea baggers". I'd drop a grand in your campaign right now!

Firearms Allowed at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Airport {AOL Travel News}

May 4th 2010 6:16PM I respect your opinion on the carry concealed permit but one of the most important parts of the day long class you must attend to receive the permit deals with when you can legally use deadly force, i.e., the handgun you are permitted to carry. On another point if you carry a handgun you need to understand how it operates and show that you can safely fire it. Too many people buy handguns for protection and then end up getting shot with their own gun...by their own hand or by an assailant who took it from them. I also learned to carry my automatic with a round in the chamber. The 3-5 seconds it takes to chamber a round can cost you your life.

Joe the Plumber: Pay no taxes, get no voice {WalletPop}

Oct 20th 2008 7:21AM Let's see...if we have 50% of the people who don't pay taxes that shouldn't be allowed to vote...let's add all the people who have defaulted on student loans over the years...that will take another huge chunk out. Oops...step on some liberal toes? The responsibility to repay student loans in no different than paying your income taxes. it's a LOAN...not a gift or grant or scholarship yet tens of thousands of people who have parlayed their education into successful careers and make big bucks don't repay their obligation. Doctors, lawyers and stock brokers who earn megabucks but still owe the government for education loans funded by...you guessed it...the middle class taxpayer. Welfare programs have hurt this country more than it has helped. It's become a way of life to some instead of the safety net it was meant to be. When you have third or fourth generation welfare receiptients...none of which have ever worked a day in their life...it should tell you the system doesn't work. "Party time" starts on the 3rd of the month when the checks come in. "Spread the wealth" my a$$...get them off theirs make the able bodied work for their benefits. We are the UNITED States of America...not the SOCIALIST States of America. I worked hard for 45 years...going to school AND working full time...repaid all my obligations and taxes...lived within my "middle class" means...planned my retirement and retired at 59. Am I wealthy?...hell no!...do I want to "share the wealth" with a bunch of lazy ass people who REFUSE to work...again...hell no! The choices this election are pitiful at best but if you are a retiree who wants to hang on to all you've worked for you have to give McCain a good look.

Common Love Myths and How They Affect Your Dating Life {Personal Articles}

Sep 13th 2008 6:57AM It's not just the GUYS who cheat in a relationship. I was married for 20 years to a woman who had an affair about every 2 years. Paid for years of consuling to address self esteem, childhood issues, etc. Problem was she kept using these "issues" as an excuse to continue her behavior. I finally wised up about 6 years ago and we split. Best decision I ever made. I retired a couple of years ago and now limit my relationships to casual dating. At this point in my life a "companion" is all I seek. Marriage, for me, is totally off the table.

Can you catch obesity? {That's Fit}

Jan 27th 2008 8:57AM I never post comment to these AOL News but this one made me laughed my ass off when I read it. It may make you want to wear a mask all day if you work in a doctor's office, look suspiciously at any lard ass that comes in or develop "fatophobia"...fear of fat people. This is just what the obese population needs...another excuse to be a lard ass. This can go with some of their other explanations such as "I'm not fat...I'm big boned"...yeah honey...them some huge ass bones! Now they can use "I'm not fat...it's viral...not my fault" while they add sideboards to their plates at the Golden Corral smorgasbord. Think about it...some companies have told their smoking employees that they have a mandated time table to quit smoking or be fired. Their logic...smokers health care cost potential is higher than non-smokers. This is probably a true statistic if compared to the general population as a whole. If, however, you were to compare the health care cost of smokers to obese/severely overweight I think the scale (no pun intended) would show that the majority of the health care $$$ are spend of the heavy's. It goes hand in hand with the drug screening policies companies have adopted. You can be an after hours/weekend alcoholic and that is acceptable...but...don't let an inkling of cabannis show up in your random drug test or you are in therapy and move to a cubicle closer to the door because your next move is out of it. You pick up the paper or hear on the news everyday about drunk drivers killing people or "the man who did the shooting was highly intoxicated" but I have never read or heard a news reporter say "the driver/shooter was stoned out of his gourd". Go figure...if they ever decide to do random drug tests in order to continue receiving retirement benefits...I am screwed. Oh, and another point...why isn't my donation to NORML tax deductible? I need to ask my congresswoman at the next town hall meeting she holds. By the way...I DID inhale...and recently!

Get a Comfy Mattress {AOL Hot Searches}

Sep 20th 2007 5:34AM I was searching for an inexpensive mattress for my guest room and ran across memory foam mattresses by Sleepy Mountain on eBay. The price was under $200 for a full size and that included shipping so I figured what the heck and decided to try one. It came in 3 pieces with a 3" firm layer for the bottom, a 3" medium firm for the middle (you can switch them around if you want more firmness), and a 2" memory foam top layer. I went to Bed and Bath and purchased a "bedsack" that completely covered and zipped around the unit and put it on the bed. Everyone who has slept on it raves and thinks it is a much more expensive unit like Tempurpedic. My son liked it so well I purchased one for his bed and plan to order one for my bed. For the money you can't beat it!
