Nov 30th 2009 12:52AM Chads gave us Nobel Prize winner Al Gore? I thought Junk Science was responsible for that.
Name Combos: Crossing George With Edward {ParentDish}
Nov 27th 2009 2:26PM Sometimes, I wonder what people are smoking when they name their babies. Some kids are going to need good right hooks as they grow up because they are going to be picked on because of their goofy monikers. Parents.....think about the future and what your baby's name is going to do for them in the professional world.
Would you take Judge Skippy Smith or Senator Muffy Jones seriously? Also, don't concoct a ridiculous spelling of the name, like Krystyl or Ginniferr and make that kid have to spell it's name for everyone for the rest of it's life. And check the initials. If it spells
A.S.S. or J.R.K. it will look terrible on monogrammed shirts. And for heaven's sake, don't name your kid Francis Underwood Kirsch or anything else with those initials.
Adam Lambert: I'm a 'Role Model' or a 'Nightmare' {PopEater}
Nov 25th 2009 12:55PM Adam managed to be very entertaining without sinking to the raunchy stuff when he appeared on Idol. No one is asking him to be a role model, but he should have saved the circus in his pants for the proper venue. He's gay. We get it. He doesn't need to rub our noses in it. Frankly, nobody wants to see straight people doing that stuff either. Not all of us watching TV are sex starved voyeurs.
Personal checks poised to be a relic {WalletPop}
Nov 24th 2009 11:42PM A stylus and a clay tablet were once in vogue. Nobody misses them. Nobody will miss checks either.
Patrick Kennedy Denied Holy Communion by Catholic Church {Politics Daily}
Nov 22nd 2009 11:31PM This is a no brainer. You can't be a Catholic in good standing and receive Holy Communion if you publicly promote the right to kill the unborn. I'm glad to finally see the Church take a stand against a Kennedy. Some members of the Kennedy family have made a mockery of the Church with their public antics. And by the way, Gotmilk, I'm quite sure that Baptists and most Christian Religions promote life too.
'Lost' Creator Damon Lindelof Gives Us New Details on the Show's Final Season {Inside TV Blog}
Nov 18th 2009 11:35PM For starters, I clearly recall early on in this series that the writers of Lost admitted they were "making it up" as they went along, so I stopped paying attention to a lot of the silly nonsense they were throwing in to the story because I figured they would never bother to tie up the plethora of silly details. Fans have good memories, so the writers need to quit the BS. I hate being strung along. The series has gotten so convoluted that they've had to show reruns with explanations. If you have to explain the nonsense, the storylines are bad. And now, from what I gathered in this article, the Lost writers know that they can't possibly make sense out of the years of ridiculously convoluted storylines, so they are going to just skip over them. This viewer feels like tuning out for the series finale and not wasting 18 or so weeks watching the writers put the screws to the fans for the last time.
Black Friday: Target offers $3 appliances and gift card bonuses {WalletPop}
Nov 13th 2009 8:01PM Black Friday? Yeah, this is the day I look forward to every year, when the retailers offer us some crummy deals if we get up at 4:00 AM and wait in line with a bunch of bozos who will mow you down when the doors open at 5:00 AM Yeah! Everyone really loves to do this, especially when "Black Friday" falls the day after Thanksgiving Thursday, after the women of America have been slaving over hot stoves all day and cleaning up while the men watch football. Yeah. I just love Black Friday.
Taylor Swift Mocks Kate Gosselin, Kanye and Joe Jonas on 'SNL' {PopEater}
Nov 8th 2009 3:17PM This old grandma thought that Taylor Swift was like a breath of fresh air on SNL. She's talented and charming and full of energy. It's nice to see a young woman of her calibre hosting SNL because they need some help right now. SNL hasn't been funny in years, but Taylor Swift's appearance was spot on, funny.
Blogs Battle to Out Anderson Cooper {PopEater}
Nov 4th 2009 4:09PM Last April, Anderson Cooper had a very unprofessional, rousing snicker-fest on his TV show, referring to the American "Tea Party" participants as "Tea Baggers". I think he has already outted himself. I think it's more important to know that he's just a big jerk.
NFL Ad Takes Aim at Simpson's Weight {PopEater}
Oct 15th 2009 3:51PM It just goes to show you the kind of infantile humor that appeals to the knuckledraggers who came up with this ad. The idea that Jessica Simpson is fat is absurd. She wore an outfit a long time ago that was not very flattering and the dimwits in the media just can't let it go.
