i've been married for 17 years and know that a 'good' marriage is more responsibility, sacrifice and seflessness than it is romance, carriage rides and bubble baths!

Black people have got to stop looking to be led...by your preacher (another man), by rules and even by the bible which is meant to be a general guide not a road map. The bible says many contradictory things.....'their shall be masters and slaves' etc.
If we are honest with ourselves we'll admit that a promise (covenant) made in church shouldn't be instantly broken as soon as a man does what over 60% of men ADMIT to doing - cheating. If there are children - even more reality needs to hit home.
Divorce as a 1st option to an expected issue is simply an easy way out. I love the suggestion to go to a senior citizens home and seek their advice.

The two of you started off on a road to failure! I would think counseling would be an option before 'find a lawyer!!' Divorce is not a picnic for the adults or the children - even though it's 'in style' now!!
BTW - someone said infidelity is reason to separate...where is that written - not in the bible! ...it does say something about until death do us part!

May 14th 2008 1:15AM t's unfrtunate the article doesn't clarify whether it is statutory or not. I don't understand why 'we' get so upset and nvolved over something like a rapist attending his daughtrs graduation18 years after the crime!! ....but we aren't offended that our legal sysem allowed him out of prison over 10 years ago!!

I don't think most of you have legitimate outrage - I think i's mostly just 'chest puffing' and pretend caring. If you cared you would protest the early release, plea bargains and probated sentences!!

Let's be honest - this man isn't going to cause problems at the graduation & the legal sysem has deemed him safe enough to be in the general population!

Well maybe this should be a private e-mail to your friends! You've heard from AOL readers across the country who reject your sexist ideas...and you still dont get it.
