Which Classic Children's Book Has Become the Best Film? {Asylum}

Nov 12th 2009 5:20PM I don't think Lord of the Rings qualifies as a childrens book. The thing is 1000 pages long and uses very advanced language that i'm sure a lot of adults struggle with.

Why Jamie Lynne Spears' pregnancy matters to investors {BloggingStocks}

Dec 28th 2007 12:04AM 3% of people who use condoms that fail... therefore she was one of the unlucky ones? Thats a lapse in logic right there.

I assume your amazing math skills also figured in the fact that she probably didn't get pregnant and have a condom break all on the first try?

I think the issue here is that she is sixteen years old and is having enough sex for all of the improbable scenarios to happen in order for her to get pregnant... and that is a generous assumption that ignores the fact that she is 16 and may not have developed the faculty to care about using a condom every time she has sex. Has she even received proper sex education? Is she from an area that teaches ineffective methods like abstinence? What if she didn't want to use a condom because it creates an extra piece of evidence that may be left behind for her parents to find? Are her parents are bad parents for intimidating her in such a way if that is true?

I would also like to point out that personal experience doesn't count for anything. If you had a kid at 15 and another at 17 and they turned out great, thats awesome. You're lucky. That doesn't mean that its right for everyone. In fact, it probably isn't good for just about anyone and is definitely not something that should be encouraged by the example of a teen celebrity.

I suppose the point of what I had to say was that there is an overarching issue here thats actually important. The particular person, Jamie, is not really one of them. Bickering about Jamie being a good or bad person is really just useless.

Minor League Spotlight: Joba Chamberlain {Fanhouse MLB Blog}

Sep 4th 2007 8:39PM I don't know anyone who actually likes the kid's (nick)name, it reminds me of some white trash hillbilly name, joba, wtf? Every time he's come up in baseball conversations the other people were like, "wtf kind of name is that?" And I would likely think Jeter's pissed about the gratuitous fist pump, what a tool.

Earnhardt Nation Boos Stewart Into Retirement {Fanhouse Motorsports Blog}

Apr 17th 2007 1:30AM I knew as soon as Kyle got into Jr. that Jr. Nation would be falling all over themselves to blame him. Yet, if the situation were refused and Jr. got into Kyle, you guys would have absolutely no problem with it all. Your bias is staggering. And I guess when Jeff Gordon whines, that's a terrible thing, but its ok for you to do it. "Ooooh, poor Jr.! The Shrub wrecked him. What a bad driver. Wah wah wah." Spare me.
