Arrests and Explosions Plague Porn Star's Campaign {Asylum}

Aug 4th 2009 9:06AM Are they implying that the car blow up is related to the domestic violence incident? Is there a connection or are they looking for one? Domestic violence is all to common in our world today.
Not only is this bad publicity but is indicative of a serious problem we have in this country.

9 People Shot Dead in Omaha Mall {Politics Daily}

Dec 6th 2007 9:26AM I agrre with you that thinking of those who are affected by the shooting and their losses should have received some coverage - the gunman said in his note (according to what I read on AOL) "Now I'll be famous." The media is apparently playing right into his hands, giving all the attention to him.

Let's all say prayers for the deceased and their families and friends. I'm sure they could use them right now.

Lonely Light Burns in Our National Memory {Politics Daily}

Dec 3rd 2007 7:34PM I don't know if the statistics I heard on the number of transgenders is correct, but as I understand it, it is approximately 80,000. Thank God, 15 is a small number of people, but anyone who has a reverence for human life must appreciate what Sir Jesse did in aiding in forming a vigil of rememberance. We claim to be "one nation under God" - let us be reminded that the bible says, "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God" and "Judge not lest ye be judged" and most importantly, Jesus himself said "This is my commandment that ye love one another that your joy may be full."

If we do not eliminate hate crimes, predudice and discrimination, how can we exect God to continue to heal our land and bless our country? The legal system isn't even acknowledging that a segment of their fellow human beings exist let alone have any of the same rights the rest of us have. It doesn't really matter if you agree with these people or not. Jesus didn't say "Only love people if you agree with them."

It is time for the world to educate itself, do some soul searching and have some empathy and compassion for the transgender community and any other group that is being mistreated. That also includes discrimination in the hetrosexual community.

We need to ask Jesus to do a work in the hearts of men. We all need to change for the betterment of mankind and our country.

As a former supervisor and trainer of a crisis hotline and former worker for the National Organization Contac We Care, I would hope that Sir Jesse and others would consider forming a hotline , training people in suicide prevention and other resources, not only for the transgender community, but for any who fall prey to hate crimes, predudice and discrimination.

Being there for people in their moment of crisis to listen, understand and pray specifically for them can prevent suicides in many cases.

Let us not think that if we just ignore people, the problems will just go away. This is a grave error and a grave injustice to fellow human beings.

Thank you for informing us that 40 people (interesting that 40 i the number of testing in the scriptures. Moses spent 40 years in the desert. Jesus spent 40 days in the wilderness, etc.) had enough compassion, empathy and love to remember these people and to appeal to the government to take a second look at the legal system.

Let's open our hearts and minds!

Thanks, Tom for being persistent in sharing with us on the subject of the ENDA legislation also. Good job, Tommy and Sir Jesse!

What to Buy Jesus For Christmas {Politics Daily}

Nov 23rd 2007 11:11PM Give Jesus the sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving - those gifts that are priceless. Good thoughts - the churches and its leaders as well as the government should be held accountable for their spending - not only for Jesus' birthday, but for all else! Thanks for making me think a bit on what is really important!
