Teen Moms Still Want College Degrees, Study Finds {ParentDish}

Feb 13th 2011 4:52AM Frankly, when I read this article, I was apalled at the percentage of girls who were actively TRYING to get pregnant. I've talked to enough teenaged girls who think having a baby is like having a Barbie doll, or a Cabbage Patch Kid, or I've even heard some of them say the just want someone to love them. Well, I equate this mentality with the people who buy puppies and kittens and then don't want them when they actually grow up. I know of a 17 year old who just had a baby, is being brought up by her grandparents, who have money. She's been having baby showers and the whole nine yards. The father, who still seems to be in the picture, at least for the time being, is 15 and in a gang, and the mother has dreams of being part of that gang. It's doubtful that either one will finish hs, but who knows. To me, that poor kid doesn't have much of a chance, and the mother....she's planning on popping out a few more. Maybe her real aspiration is to appear on Judge Judy.

Feb 13th 2011 4:29AM Make sure the "poppa" has enough money...nice thought, if some of these girls even know who the "poppa" is.

Feb 13th 2011 4:08AM You were a straight "A" student all "threw" high school??? lol And now you "is" in graduate school? (hope it's not in English) Your posting is a prime example of the lack of quality of education in this country, and that a "kalledge" degree doesn't really mean too much. As for your situation, kudos for working through a tough time, and no I don't think all teen pregnant mothers are "tramps", but I do think the boys/men fathers who shoot and scoot are bastards. Good luck, and I hope you don't have to write too many papers...lolololol

Model Falls at Christian Siriano Fall 2011 Fashion Week {Stylelist (Main)}

Feb 12th 2011 4:44AM Hey, A. Wilkins, you must be a masochistic male, and Fiona, you must be about 18 yrs old and you think 30 yr olds are "old ladies". These shoes are ridiculous, and I can't believe that PAYLESS of all places would have access to this type of shoe. These shoes are NOT for the average person, and what women don't realize is the damage this can do to, not only your feet, but to your legs, and your spinal structure. Why don't these models just come out in ballet toe shoes, and march down the runway "en pointe"??!!

Leading Experts Rethinking Food Allergy Causes {ParentDish}

Feb 11th 2011 8:25AM @Momof3...Yeah, let's pay more people to do more studies. For years we were brainwashed to believe that eggs (yolk) were bad for us. Now new STUDIES have found out that they're good for us. I don't believe these doctors anymore, and I think the AMA is a crock!! I do believe kids and adults can have food allergies, but now it's so prevalent that it doesn't even make sense. Why is it that kids don't have allegies to candy and sweets, but they do to healthy foods?? I do believe that if kids are introduced to different foods as children, some of these allergies wouldn't even exist. BTW, the picture on this article is disgusting!!

School Lunch (Finally) Gets a Makeover {That's Fit}

Feb 3rd 2011 6:56AM @Mandi...WOW almost 2 decades of school food??? Are you including college and kindergarten?? Also, why did you HAVE to eat that stuff?? Couldn't you or your parents have provided you with a better alternative. I agree, free school lunches are a joke, and I also sick of some parents using schools as a free babysitting service. AND we should all be scared of the government snaking their way into every aspect of our lives.

Feb 3rd 2011 6:37AM You must have used your "pass" to get lunch at Wendy's instead of going to English class. LOL

Thank you.

Sexy Chefs: 10 Hottest Women in the Food Industry 2011 {Slashfood}

Jan 29th 2011 6:29AM I am sick of Padma Lakshmi being touted as a CHEF!!! SHE IS NOT!! She just tastes!! She hosts "Top Chef" and has a good publicist. Yes, she's "written" a couple of cookbooks, but she's not actually written them. Rachel Ray also is NOT A CHEF!!! She just got lucky with Oprah, and she basically is a front-man and a personality (and an obnoxious one, at that). YUMMO!!! When someone works hard, builds themselves up and deserves credit for what they do, it is majorly insulting when others just kinda "luck" into it.and give themselves titles they never earned.

A Fine Mess: How To Get Out of Library Late Fees, Tickets {WalletPop}

Jan 25th 2011 1:01PM What a stupid article!!! It didn't say anything we don't already know. The library thing is just dumb. I work in a school library, and they will forgive most fines if you return the book. The New York Library $3 a day fine is ludicrous...keep the friggin book for a few days, and you've paid for it. The parking ticket and speeding ticket thing??? Sorry, but for those of you who believe that the police are looking out for safety and are protecting us, WAKE UP!! I've lived in states that DO have speed traps, and if you go five miles over a posted spped sign that you can't see, they'll pull you over...you and five other suckers, you can't get out of those tickets, no matter how smooth talking you are, unless you're related to another cop or a judge, And there's no ticket under $100.00. This definitely was a stupid article, and I regret having read it.. I actually thought I'd get some real information.
