Apr 27th 2011 7:21PM This is nothing new. We live in a country of unimaginable waste. Many manufacturers and retailers destroy perfectly good products. Some of it is discontinued or have minor flaws. It is easier for them to "write it off" for tax purposes than to give it away to charity. Also this is a litigious society where some greedy person will sue a large company for the slightest reason. So the manufacturer is also protecting itself from any liabiity. Its not only clothing but electronics machinery and tools not to mention the amount of food that is discarded. Its a shameful WASTE!

Jan 24th 2011 9:07PM It's "Same Ol', Same Ol' " at GM. Concentrating on building gas guzzling trucks and SUV"s is what helped them in their downward spiral of the last decade. I am convinced that GM is run by idiots. I work at a "former" Chevrolet dealership that got the dreaded letter that stated GM would be taking the Chevrolet franchise away. Remind you now that this is a dealership that has been selling Chevrolet's for 90 years! Owned by the same family for 4 generations. A facility that covers almost 2 city blocks in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. Now that they are trying to push their "savior" car the VOLT, You think they would need every urban location. Imagine a major metropolitan city without a Chevy dealer. Thank God we took on Hyundai. SCREW YOU GM!!!

If an explosive device was to be planted on an airplane, doing it by using a ground crew member is the easiest way. Next time you fly look around at aiport personnel and look out the window at the ground crew. What kind of training do you think they have. How well paid are they. It would be simple to place an attacker as a ground crew member or even recruit an existing member with money. Greed is a powerful weapon!
