Sandra Bullock Bets Against Herself in Oscar Race {PopEater}
Feb 7th 2010 3:45PM How did Barbara Streisand, one of the top selling vocal artists of history, wander into this discussion to be disrespected? She is a genius; get a grip. All art is NOT political.
Sandra Bullock Bets Against Herself in Oscar Race {PopEater}
Feb 7th 2010 12:17PM Bullock was being her charming self. That's not great acting. Meryl Streep should win this year.
And the Oscar Buzz Goes to ... 'Nine' {Moviefone Blog}
Jan 22nd 2010 8:07AM The critics started beheading this movie a week before the public got access to NINE on Christmas Day. Then they began writing in lockstep, agreeing with the early critics in NYC and LA (sometimes even quoting from the early reviews). The boys who like movies where stuff blows up would of course not like NINE, which is a Europe-based film about an artist's suffering during a creative block. But NINE is actually very good, if one will ignore what's been said and written, and see it for oneself. At present, it's just "fashionable" to down NINE. Everyone I've taken to see it loved it. And of course there's the glorious Marion Cotillard, bringing verismo to the plot.
Oscar Divas: Where Was Jack Nicholson, Javier Bardem, Etc ...? {Cinematical}
Mar 17th 2009 8:36AM Marion Cotillard is a team player; she's always on time, does what she's asked, works hard, is enormously gifted, polite and humble. Swinton is still building her Hollywood resume, and so would want to cooperate, but is also willing to work with others. But then, successful women are more flexible than men, with less to prove about their personal importance.
Today's Crush: Marion Cotillard {Asylum}
Jun 6th 2008 6:34AM Her name is Marion Cotillard. She's 32 in 2008, started making movies at 16, has 40+ in her resume. She won the British, French, and American Academy Awards this year for playing Edith Piaf in LA VIE EN ROSE; this was called by both critics and audiences as one of the legendary performances in cinema history. She is a great artist just now coming into international prominence. You guys are WAY behind the wave.
SNL: Catherine Zeta-Jones/Franz Ferdinand {AOL TV}
Oct 24th 2005 11:45PM The hot little musical number with Zeta-J at the beginning of SNL on October 22 was great -- audience loved it. And she seemed to have a grand time doing it all. But there was little writing elsewhere on the show to challenge this multi-talented woman. What was welcome was that she actually learned her lines and brought a character to each skit. I'm SO tired of seeing people read their lines off the teleprompter on SNL! Everyone seems to do it, including some of the cast.
