Security Adviser James Jones Criticized for Jewish-Themed Joke {Politics Daily}
Apr 26th 2010 4:00PM The guy can't tell a joke to save his life! He took way too long telling that old, old joke. If he's going to try to be funny he should first find out what funny is. He's lame. He should at least try getting on-line material daily so at least he doesn't tell old jokes. And a comedian always wants to know who the audience is so that way he won't tell the wrong joke to the wrong people. It's no reason he should lose his job or his head but the idiot should stick to doing his job and leave funny to someone else. I doubt the room was working with a three drink minimum...tha way everybody's funny.....even this stiff.
Obama on Health: Stunning Arrogance or the Edmund Burke Theory of Leadership? {Politics Daily}
Mar 4th 2010 9:13AM Arrogance. Period. The Prez wants to save face. The Docs in the room were hand picked. Remember when the Docs at the AMA convention last summer booed the Prez?
First U.S. marijuana cafe opens for business in Portland {Daily Finance}
Nov 15th 2009 7:03PM Do the 'smokers' then drive home? I would doubt they are leagl to drive after smoking - just the same as no one else would be legal to drive after smoking marijuana. Who [plural possible] would be responsible for some one else's injuries if the driving 'smoker' was at fault in an accident on the way home? While some of the 'patients' by virtue of their medical condition would be status not legal to drive already...some would not be rendered illegal to drive merely due to their illness.....but perhaps due to their treatment. For those in Oregon in a position to know, please elaborate. When I posed this question to a cannibis club in San Francisco a few years back, I could not get a straight answer yes or no about the 'patient' being legal to drive after smoking.
Self-checkout machines cause 'stage fright' in shoppers {Daily Finance}
Nov 3rd 2009 12:37PM I won't use them so as to keep a clerk employed....period. So what if the store can replace four clerks with a few of the check-out machines.......the machines can't smile at me, can't share a joke with me, can't tell me "hey you forgot your wallet," can't show me pictures of their kids.........but they sure can draw unemployment......which no one would really like. I'd care to keep a clerk employed so that there is the personal touch still in the world......period. Go read the novel CAT'S CRADLE > only two people in the entire world have real jobs because everything is so automated. Where's the respect in that?

New Device Promises To Fix Eyesight with Ultrasonic Waves {Switched}
Dec 3rd 2007 12:13PM As an Eye Doctor, I have never heard of this device. I can make an educated guess how it must work and think that results are quite temporary. Mayhaps I shall hear more someday but for now my money is staying in my pocket.
