Space Shuttle Discovery's Final Flight {AOL Hot Searches}

Nov 3rd 2010 7:41PM Excuse me, Norma. Did I mis-read your comment? Did I see you say Barack Hussein Obama is a conservative Republican? I think that because it was Mr. Obama who effectively castrated NASA recently, causing a massive loss of jobs in Florida and a hobbling of scientific activity in space. The "space ball" is already rolling and we're still in the lead. Why quit now? No trophy is given to the person or country who wins the first 10 yards of a 100-yard dash. Our country has benefitted much from the scientific advancements directly attributable to the space program. In my opinion, so much more so that other less-visible governbment programs. Take HUD --who really knows where what deep dark hole their funding disappears into? Take Agriculture -- Who is subsidizing whom to the tune of billions of dollars this year? NASA's problem (and blessing) is that they are so visible. Why not shine the light on other government programs? Why pick on NASA? NASA's work product is quantifiable unlike most other programs. Want to cut? Want to save? Look elsewhere. I don't think the conservative republicans de-nutted NASA. Clearly, Mr. Barack Hussein Obama did.

Wu-Tang Clan Cover Beatles at Brixton Show {Spinner}

Aug 6th 2010 11:51PM My good friend and skydiving buddy Howard Dean(the stand-up comic, NOT the Howard Dean of "political scream fame" used to say RAP? I'll give it a "C". But put the C in front. Meaning of course C-R-A-P. Not surprisingly, 15 years later, I still agree. While growing up I came to understand that to "rap" was to "communicate" with someone. That unintelligible mish-mash of propfanity is not communication. It seems more like an animal grunting while expelling waste.

Robbers Sucker Punch Jewelers Partying at the Oscars {Asylum}

Apr 14th 2008 3:42AM I do not condone thievery. Nonetheless, I appreciate the brilliant planning that went into this. (They could have not have known of the future award-winning and/or jewelry-wearing) but DID know of the construction and had a firm, organized plan to steal. I say HOORAY to them with the same vigor I did in 1973 when D.B. Cooper jumped from a 727 with more than $200,000 cash. I do not approve of the action, but I do applaud the moxie! -- J.W.

The Real Wedding Crasher {AOL Video Blog}

Dec 27th 2007 5:02AM Yes, skydiving is Verrry cool, but the person in this video was in way over his head. I have been in the sport for 20+ years and have made 1,618 jumps under all kinds of parachutes in all kinds of conditions. This canopy was far too small and fast for this person and his skills (or lack thereof) should have precluded him from even attempting this. He should have been landing in a LARGE open field without cars on the periphery. This sort of bad publicity is what gives the sport a very underseved bad name. Nonetheless, I hope he wasn't too badly injured and was able to participate in the wedding on something other than a stretcher. --JW
