Thank you Alan Parsons Project for many, many years of plesant entertainment! i am not dissapointed.

Washington Portrait, Once Ignored, Now Up For Auction {Luxist}

Feb 20th 2010 10:49AM Value is in the eye of the prchaser and owner. for instance, i have a WWII smith and wesson .38 short revolver with documentation on it's history. it was given to me by my father who acquired it from his best friend. actual monetary value is about $60 - $100. value to me: priceless. why? because 1.it was given to me by my father (who was in Vietnam, and is still alive) , 2. it has a history to our great natons defense. 3. you just don't see a .38 short every day. you see specials all the time, but not shorts. I collect old military small arms. I also have a Mossin Nagant M44, and a few others. any gun collectors out there? if so, just email me and maybe we can correspond.. straitline2001@aol.com

Alan Jackson Shows His Big Heart With a Big Check {The Boot}

Aug 5th 2009 1:25AM yep. makes me proud to be from Tennessee, although I know he's not. He's from Georgia, I think. We care about people in general. If more people in a position like his could get the media coverage like this instead of the daily body count on the news, maybe all the hatred and animosity and the like would tone itself down. Many fans are very proud of you Alan! and i'm one of them!

License to drink? College presidents think legal drinking age should go lower {WalletPop}

Feb 25th 2009 5:10PM when they raised the drinking age to 21 did the number of alcohol related crashes drop? no, they didn't. why? because people both over and under the drinking age were still making bad decisions. in our local paper this past week a reader writing to the editor wrote " we already have enough people dying because of alcohol." I responded "alcohol does not kill people. Pepole drinking too much alcohol then making bad decisions is what kills people, so until people of all age groups become responsible and accountable for their own actions, people from all groups will continue to die by their own hand. but we, as a society, will continue to place blame where it does NOT belong - on someone else - instead of where it should belong. it should belong, in more cases than not, on ourselves." well, there ya go. stop whinning ya bunch of crybabies. if i can make the decision as an ADULT to put my life on the line to protect your rights and freedom (such as they are nowadays), i damn well should have the right to make any other decision as an adult to have a drink. with that said, i also, as an adult, should suffer any consequences AS AN ADULT with any wrong doing, whether i'm of age or not. If i'm 16 years old and get caught DUI, then i get the same punishment as anyone else would. not freakin kiddie jail, REAL jail. that, my fellow Americans, is where we stop the buck and change the country. think i'll go have a drink now..Good day!

Sirius XM confirms rate hike coming {Autoblog}

Jan 24th 2009 11:06AM you can get XM for life without a payment if you are willing to spend $500. one time payment and no more money spent, and lifetime radio service. they don't advertise this very often, but i found out they actually offer this. when they were running a "special" on that offer (&399.99) for a limited time, i was going to try to do it, but didn't have the money to get it and that's when they told me about the standard offer. go figure, if you use it all week and travel like i do in my job, 4 or 500 bucks will more than pay for itself in a few years. at $13 a month, multiplied by 12 equals $156 a year. so $500 a year divided by $156 is about 3 and a quarter years. after that, your radio service is paying for itself. i've had mine for 5 years now. if i ever get to do that, mine will, like i said, more than pay for itself. just an idea for my fellow satellite listeners who can''t stand terrestrial radio anymore. hope this helps..
