UPDATED: Disney May Cut Keith Richards from 'Pirates 4' Because of Past Drug Use {Moviefone Blog}

Oct 27th 2010 12:08PM I certainly don't defend Keith's history of drug use and debauchery, BUT if Disney its just now making this decision on Keith's book, where have they been for the past 40 years? Johnny Depp has said since the first film he kept Richards in mind in the early movies when playing Captain Sparrow since he saw pirates at the time living the life of rock stars. Richards' history didn't change since the last film, sp what has changed except Disney making a yellow spined decision?

Stars in Rewind: Angelina Jolie's Cocaine-Fueled 'Girl, Interrupted' Interview {Moviefone Blog}

Oct 20th 2010 8:50PM "nervous enthusiasm"? She was as nervous as a turkey on Thanksgiving, but if she were any LESS enthusiastic Rose would have had to check for a pulse!

How to Leverage the Timeshare System {AOL Travel News}

Oct 16th 2010 8:03PM The stay may be free to the visitor looking for a one-time getaway, but here's one thing no one considers: the salesperson presenting the property is doing so for a LIVING. Anyone who goes on a getaway like this with no intention of buying and solely watching the clock to get the free trip wastes the time of the salesperson AND takes them out of rotation. In other words, a salesperson trying to put food on the table, etc., loses in order to give you a brief escape. Yes, that means the getaway that is free to you has an opportunity cost the salesperson PAYS for.

Nothing is free. You may not pay for a long weekend, but the salespeople does by wasting their valuable time with you: Time they could have used to earn their livelihood to feed their family, pay their bills, etc.

If you want something else that looks free, try soup kitchens.

4 Tips for Getting a Job With Bad Credit {AOL Jobs}

Apr 18th 2010 11:33AM Using a credit score as a factor for/against an applicant never made sense to me and still does not. Joedavid said it may be to prevent the employer from dealing with wage garnishments, etc. If that's the case, one's credit past doesn't mean future problems with deadbeat Dads/Moms, IRS, etc.

Sure there's an ounce of brains in the hiring community that realizes using credit HISTORY as a means of evaluating an applicant is flawed! Being out of work as long as I and so many other Americans have been has led us to credit and financial problems that we could imagine in our worst nightmares had things not gone so horrible awry in the economy. Is using credit scores to disqualify the under/unemployed from future employment going to cure anything? Or only serve to make matters worse?

Why I Could No Longer Be a Catholic {Politics Daily}

Apr 11th 2010 12:25AM As a former Catholic, I can see why so many question why they remain. The pope has a clear past of covering up priests who were child molesters. While we can say the church is made of its people, the pop is the head of it.

If a company were being run as such, with its CEO having a history like the pope, people would abandon the company, its stock, etc., and head elsewhere.

'Jail' Playground in Brooklyn Public Housing Project Sparks Outrage {ParentDish}

Mar 25th 2010 7:07PM Playgrounds beware! Jungle gyms could be next on the chopping block...unless a vocal group of the either overly sensitive or headline hungry few get their heads out of their butts! Even Sigmund Freud said "Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar".

Who is Your Favorite Dog in Pop Culture? {Pawnation OLD}

Dec 12th 2009 4:47PM SNOOPY BY FAR! The holidays specials made 30-40 years ago STILL hold up but aren't milked to death. Compare that to the weekly Scooby-Doo series and seemingly infinte made-for-DVD releases and who is the clear winner? Snoopy, and NOT just by a nose!

I was a big fan of Scooby-Doo when I was a kid, but now at age 44 I am STILL a Snoopy fan while I've outgrown Scooby-Doo.

Oct 23rd 2009 8:31PM Just out of curiousity, if anyone in Gitmo has been put on trial, please let me know their attorney's name...and their rank and military branch, since I'm sure the suspects received fair unbiased trials.

Victoria Gotti's Biggest Shocker? Breaking Her Silence {Lemondrop}

Sep 27th 2009 2:11AM So Victoria NOW admits John Sr. was a mobster, especially after screaming into newscameras on the day of his conviction, that he was "The Last of the Mohegans" (her abortion of the English language, not mine).

I can guess the title of her next two books "Pro Wrestling is Staged" and "Hey Kids, the truth about Santa is...."

And drones will run out to buy and absorb them like Scripture.
