Apr 12th 2011 10:41AM No it's not, and not everyone is christian, and you need to keep your religion to yourself, thank you very much. If you want to live in a country that has only one religion, go somewhere like Saudi Arabia.
Boston Bans Soda on City Property {Slashfood}
Apr 9th 2011 8:04PM Didn't anyone read this article? it said only that Boston is not allowing sale of soda on city property and that means for its employees. This has nothing to do with anyone buying soda elsewhere in the city of Boston. This has nothing to do with an employee's rights to buy soda elsewhere and drink it. It simply means that Boston has chosen to not allow its sale on city property. You can name a dozen companies in your own town that don't sell anything on their premises, so what's the big issue and what are you all so riled up about? What don't you ask your city to sell heroin if you're all so fired up about your rights. Good grief. Buy what you want where you want in a public store ---- but you have no rights to buy anything you want in a city or company property. Say, how about if we all go to city hall and buy a fifth of Johnnie Walker Black tomorrow too? Unbelievable how dumb some people are.

Apr 9th 2011 7:59PM What are you babbling about? I don't know any city that allows sales of alcohol on city property to its employees. What a loon.

Apr 9th 2011 7:58PM And if the corporation you worked for said that they would not have ANY vending machines, is that taking your rights away? What is wrong with you people? This legal entity chose to not allow soda on tis premises. It has every right to tell its employees and visitors what its rules are. Don't like them? Then don't work for that entity. Sounds pretty simple to me.

Apr 9th 2011 7:45PM I don't know if I agree with Jane, but then my wholly Republican small suburban town just banned smoking in public parks. I know for sure I absolutely don't agree with Sam though. Sam, you are entitled to do anything you want, anywhere you want, but just NOT on city property. Get the difference here? A city is an entity, a lot like a corporation; it can apply any rules it wants to apply for its own jurisdiction, and the city of Boston says no sales of soda on city property. If you want to buy soda at the store that is not on city property, no one is stopping you from doing it. Same thing in my small town: want to smoke till you choke and die? Go right ahead, you just can't do it on city property. So do whatever you want in your own home but you have limited rights on city property ---- that is not yours.
