Jun 15th 2011 5:13AM I had a 2000 Ford Explorer that I called the Exploder because it constantly had various mechanical and electrical issues, smoked as it went down the road and we always felt it was about to go BOOM!

Virginia Attorney General Tells Colleges to Back Off on Gay Rights Policies {Politics Daily}

Mar 7th 2010 5:41AM I hope the colleges and universities resist this advice from our esteemed attorney general. WE in the Commonwealth do not need to regress back to teh days of overt discrimination against any monorities, whether it be racial, sexual, handicap or age. This sounds like another opinion based on the antiquated Dillon Rule approach to government where only powers specifically granted by the state are valid for other levels of government within the state. Our AG should keep in mind that our public colleges and universities aacept Federal fuunding and are subject to Federal civil rights laws.

10 Things Guys Don't Get About Women {Lemondrop}

Mar 6th 2010 9:37PM I find the mystery of women a wonderful thing. I usre as hell don't want a woman to be like my buddies! So ladies, carry your huge purse, light those candles, cry if you feel the need, I can push the extra pillows to the side, buy you a greeting card to make you feel good (or even flowers or candy), scrub your back when you take a bath (or even join you if there's room), and even watch you chick flicks... and I'll do it all jsut because I love being with you and seeing you happy.

The worst type of airline passengers {WalletPop}

Mar 6th 2010 4:39PM Teh problem isn't so much the people, but the airlines that have designed the planes without adequate space for even the average sized person. At 5'11" and 240 pounds I am not a smal person, but hardly obese. My shoulders are wider than the seats and my knees hit the back of the seat in front of me in coach. I can't afford to fly business class, so flying is not an enjoyable experience for me. If the airlines weren't trying to fit us in like sardines in a can, perhaps flying wouldn't be such a miserable thing for so many people.

N.C. Festival Refuses to Take Sides in Brunswick Stew Debate {Slashfood}

Jan 29th 2010 7:29AM They have a version called "Burgoo" in the Western Kentucky/ Southern Indiana area that is a combination of game meats and veggies, cooked for a long time in a large kettle over an open fire and stirred constantly. I have always hypothesized that 'burgoo' is some Kentucky translation for Brunswick stew. It looks more like the Virginia version as everything is cooked and stirred until it is thick and individually unrecognizable, but absolutely delicious. Typically it is cooked in the Fall along with the local variety of BBQ.
