Boy Says He Has Been to Heaven, Where Everyone Has Wings {ParentDish}

Mar 21st 2011 7:09PM 100% agreed. This young boy's "heaven" experience is very clearly things he's picked up and heard in conversations his parents have had with each other, friends, and so forth over the intervening years.

If you have kids in your life, you know full well how precocious they can be at 11 and how easy it is to underestimate them.

What the boy says IS indeed a load of poo. That should in NO way imply that ANYone's religious beliefs are a load of poo. I don't believe that's what this person was saying. And if you do, then perhaps you're the one with the problem.

James Franco a 'Disaster' at Oscars; 'Draft Billy Crystal' Movement Begins {PopEater}

Mar 1st 2011 3:53AM Good point. Wit is EXACTLY the thing that was missing.

James Franco a 'Disaster' at Oscars; 'Draft Billy Crystal' Movement Begins {PopEater}

Mar 1st 2011 3:50AM It WAS awkward.

I also despised Hathaway's disingenuous "real" moments, like when she had that "me moment" (clearly rehearsed) or the flub (rehearsed), etc.

I did think all of the night's speeches were nice however.

Mar 1st 2011 3:48AM Sooo, you've never, ever watched television before I take it.

Confessions of a Taxidermist: Sometimes Gross, Never Boring {AOL Jobs}

Feb 21st 2011 7:50PM This was incredibly interesting.

I do have to say, the most disconcerting thing about this however is that it sounds like you guys may be mounting illegally killed animals from Africa. I hope that's not the case, but I can't think of any African animal with horns that it is okay to kill. Perhaps I'm mist aken.

Hope that spider got home okay too.

GLAAD Outraged at 'SNL' Transgender Skit {PopEater}

Feb 2nd 2011 7:19PM Seems to me that it was PRO transgenger, bringing attention to their existence and what they go through. By making a joke about it, I don't believe they were making light nor making fun of them. They're NOT the same thing. I have a friend who's transgender -- haven't asked her opinion but it seemed like a positive thing to me.

Will 'The Good Guys' Survive for Another Season? {AOL TV}

Dec 13th 2010 2:37PM No, orfyyn's right, people don't want to think. And The Good Guys had a lot of time shifting as well as lots of quiet, subtle jokes. If you think the show wasn't good, it's likely (not necessary but likely) it's b/c you were missing the point. You really had to pay attention to this show and, at least on a Friday night, that's not going to work with most people. I think the show would've done better earlier in the week following a show like House (which, personally, I think is drivel) or something else that requires some level of attention. Lie to Me is a good example...but I thought I read that doesn't fare much better ratings-wise.

ABC Cancels 'The Whole Truth,' Orders More 'No Ordinary Family,' 'Better With You,' 'Detroit 1-8-7' {AOL TV}

Oct 26th 2010 3:15PM CBS did a show like this about 5 years ago, and it bombed. No surprises here. I'll never understand why Rob Morrow is cast in anything, the guy's extremely one-note. He was boring in Northern Exposure, a virtual cipher in Numbers, and this one I shut off 10 minutes into the first ep. (I'll give anything w/Tierney a try. Still a fan of hers from her Newsradio days [while trying expunge the melodramatic ER from my memory] -- she was great on Rescue Me last year).

Zack Snyder's 'Superman' to Focus on Early Days of Superman {Moviefone Blog}

Oct 18th 2010 8:15PM Lex Luthor from Krypton was, if I recall, was Peter Guber's version of Superman. It's very possible they're leaking information just to gauge reaction.

If an origin is what they're doing, I'm in agreement, we don't need that. I don't care if it's Zod vs. Jor-El vs. Pa Kent vs. Brainiac...we don't need an origin of Superman.

8 of the dirtiest sexual innuendos in children's cartoons {Asylum}

Aug 27th 2010 10:33AM To Reality: Agreed.

Most of these are nonsense. Some of them are not even meant to be subtle...but that Flinstones thing is hysterical.
