Their isn't a parent alive who hasn't said things similar to what Alec has to or about their own children, and regularly thinks them about other people's kids. If you claim you haven't then you are either a liar, using semantics to weedle your way out that statement by claiming it isn't quite accurate, or are a giant heart attack waiting to happen because you haven't yet figured out how to express your anger and outrage at obnoxious children.

If you can't understand why it is the teenage girl they always toss in the volcano or why a good many teenagers could use a little Chinese re-education you either have never lived with one or have a hard time accepting that your kids are the most perfect precious creatures on the face of the earth.

Jun 28th 2008 11:01PM no matter how you spin it I highly doubt the numbers are accurate. Usage may be up but I can guarantee that 80% of business don't have at least one mac.

I have never seen a fast food restaurant in 15 years of servicing their equipment ever use a mac, and fast food makes up 15% of all businesses in the US. Furthermore I have seen but handful of them in major retail in that same 15 year period and none of them were major retailers or grocers. Between those two industries they make up nearly 35% of all US workplaces. The only way they could skew the numbers to 80% worldwide is to see if one person in some far flung corporate office that has nothing to do with actual operations uses a mac and claim the entire company uses a mac.

Preventing smoking {ParentDish}

Apr 22nd 2008 1:16AM If governments were serious about not wanting kids to start smoking or the poor people who can barely support themselves to keep doing it they would simply raise the price. Most states have a minimum price that smokes and alcohol can be sold at. If those states wanted to keep the people from smoking that can least afford it or who shouldn't ever start they price it out of their range.

A $40 pack of cigarettes with most of the money going to the states would quickly turn off most people to the idea of smoking. Most kids get started smoking by stealing them from mom or dad or bumming them off a someone else. Most people don't think twice about giving a $0.20 cigarette away, a $2.00 one is a very different story.
