The Simpsons: That 90's Show {TV Squad}

Jan 28th 2008 11:42AM I have no qualms with revisionist history for comic effect, but simply put: this show has lost its creative edge.

This episode is a tired retread of Homerpalooza, which actually satirizes the 90s decade as Homer takes the kids to see Cyprus Hill and Smashing Pumpkins.

It shows that the writers have completely run out of ideas...

It's too 'Homer-centric' in terms of dialogue, and the plot lines aren't as fully developed. They can't ever recover from the loss of Phil Hartman...this show is a watered-down shadow of its former self and they should pull the plug and leave with whatever dignity is left intact.
