Feb 1st 2008 11:25AM To all the people who say cilantro tastes like soap (myself being one), a nutritionist friend of mine told me that it is because we have a "Food Intolerance" to cilantro. Like having an allergy to a food, but without the dangerous swelling, itching, etc. It is our body's way of telling us we shouldn't eat something, by making it taste horrible.
And while avocados may be fattening, they are the "Good" fats. Eat 'em up. They are a GREAT first food for babies. Mild and creamy, and good for the brain!! Canned baby food is disgusting. If you wouldn't eat it, why would you make your baby eat it?
Leave the MAYO out of my Guac! Yet another case of us Americans making some ethnicity's food "better" by adding disgusting hydrogenated fats to it.
