Colin Powell: Skip Gates Could Have Avoided Arrest {Politics Daily}

Jul 29th 2009 10:14AM My white brother was nearly arrested for breaking into his own home when neighbors reported someone trying to get into a house. He was locked out and trying to go through a window, however when the police came instead of being rude he comely explained his situation finished going in through the window to get his ID and proved he lived there. Had he become hostile accusing the officer of unfair treatment I am sure he would have been arrested. This is not and should not have been turned into a race issue, black people need to get over themselves and realize that equal treatment includes both good and bad aspects of life and quit crying every time they are treated equal.

Colin Powell: Skip Gates Could Have Avoided Arrest {Politics Daily}

Jul 29th 2009 10:10AM So nice to see an intelligent black man weigh in on things, too bad Powell is not our president, he is a much more qualified and respectable figure, in my opinion anyway. This whole thing is stupid and could have been quickly resolved if the professor had simply shown the police officer his ID proving he lived there, end of story. I think it sad the president promoted drinking alcohol to settle disputes, it sends a bad message to children that drinking solves things when in fact drinking typically adds fuel to negative situations. Seriously how many people think it is a good idea to get drunk with someone with which one is mad? The president should have invited the men over for dinner without mentioning beer, so trashy, but again just my opinion.

Starbucks planning big annoucement on February 17, the suggestions box is open {WalletPop}

Feb 14th 2009 12:56PM I think Starbucks should offer a better discount than just 10% for those who have the gold card rewards. Also you should get say 50 cents off for bringing in your own refillable coffee cup. This saves the company money on buying cups and reduces waste, all while saving the customer a few cents. I personally love their coffee but at 5 bucks a cup it is not really all that affordable, I mean I could have a meal for $5. So creating discount programs would bring more people in the door. Another mistake I have noticed with my local starbucks is they quit making decaf after 7 which is lame for those of us who are pregnant and cannot have caffeine, or for other people who simply can't so prefer not to drink caffeine but still want coffee.

Massager or Model -- What's Better to Rub You Down? {Asylum}

Sep 9th 2008 11:39PM From the results of the pole I can tell mostly men and teenage boys have read this. Besides her body is mediocre and how did she get this article printed anyway? This is the stupidest crap I have ever read on AOL which says a lot because most the crap on here is pretty stupid lately. How is this news worthy?

Drunk Clown Needed, Must Bring Own Giant Red Shoes {Asylum}

Aug 31st 2008 11:25PM Craigslist is stupid. Full of skanks and home wreckers posting whorish personals. It is the stomping ground for prostitution and STDs

JCPenney's "teen sex" ad [updated] {ParentDish}

Jun 25th 2008 12:46AM Whoa! Certainly not a kool add at all. As a semi young mother (26) of two baby girls I think this sends the completely wrong message. Hell even when I was a teenager, which was not long ago I would have thought this add to be raunchy. They could have used the same time the getting dressed thing and then had the kids rush to the school bus, or even left the mother out of the picture and it would have seemed less perverse. I am surprised at the sexually direct nature of this add in a time when everyone is so against teen sex and pregnancy and dare I say abortion. This promotes the very thing parent are fighting to avoid. Boo to the creative team that thought up this advertisement.

I really wish everyone would leave this girl ALONE!!! I have never been that into the whole Brittany Spears music scene but really as a woman, a mother... life is hard. Whether you are rich or poor being a mother of two so close together and then being left by your crappy husband is enough to make anyone depressed. Sure she's made mistakes but I bet she was a better mom than many others out there who have kids. She needs to be left alone to think and get her shit straight. I think the media needs to stop repotting about her before society pushes her to kill herself. I really feel so sad for her, I would hate to have her life with all this media nonsense

Report: Suzy Kolber, Michele Tafoya Out at Monday Night Football {Fanhouse NFL Blog}

Feb 10th 2008 5:21PM I know this might sound bad especially coming from a woman, but women reporters on the field really annoy me! Their voices do not carry as well as the deeper voices of a man. Also, sorry, but most women do not really know all that much about football (including me) and I just dont take her as seriously as I do when a man is talking about what is going on on the field. I know it is socially wrong but I am against women reporting about football, at least on the field. Because their voices are annoying. Sorry again not trying to offend, just speaking my opinion!

Best Videos of the Week, 2/1/08: No. 11 {AOL Video Blog}

Feb 1st 2008 5:50PM This song is AWFUL!!! I see how it could be hard to dance to, there is not much to it! I am surprised they spent so much money on the set when all she did is walk around. It almost looked like she was unsure how to dance or walk well in spike heels (which in her defense is really hard). As for her teeth, she is a singer and fixing them could mess up her voice (not that it was that great anyway) but that is why her teeth are a little messed up.
