Feb 9th 2011 2:12PM It is NOT time to desist from our National Anthem at sprots events or any events!!!!!!!.
It IS time to STOP getting these people who totally rewrite the tune and are so engrossed while they are rewriting and singing it that they forget the words.
Our anthem is beautiful. Our anthem is inspirational - when done correctly and as written. Think about when and where it was written and that should give you shivers.
How about NO celebreties singing it - they are the ones mucking it up!
I sing it as it is written at swim meets, horse racing meets etc etc. I am 66 years of age and my voice is stronger and more listenable to than these so called stars.
Let a non star do it and see how it should be done - with reverence. During the singing, my phone rang and several calls after stating my GOD that was awful - you should have sang it! Don't know about that - but SHE should not have!

Feb 5th 2011 4:36PM We (even) before the boomers, got deductions from our paychecks and paid taxes on the Gross Amt of our wages - then SS was deducted and whatever else - so (we) receiving SS have earned it AND already paid taxes on it. For those suggesting that we be taxed a second time - was there NOT a
tea party in the harbor regarding over taxation - now you are suggestion to be taxed twice? No Way surely.

Jan 31st 2011 1:27PM Until you have eaten a 'canned' corned beef and cheese pie - you have not gastronomically lived! Also mix with raw onions and wrap in puff pastry and bake. Mmmmmm! Yummy.
I always look for the Fray Bentos brand of corned been in cans.

Her jewelry sucks. She looks so 'taut' in her face I expect to hear a 'proing' that will reverbrate around the world as she separates.

But......there is NO excuse for a grown person (regardless) of racial persuasion training, using abd killing dogs in this fashion - especially to make money out of it. Dec 23rd 2010 4:55PM Whoopie - used to like her - now she is a hateful mouthpiece spouting her views on just about everything. This is because she feels like she has a platform with her equally obnoxious mates on the view. What a trio - (one) is OK. We have all been given free choice. What we do with that choice is between YOU and your MAKER. As for the Muslim thing - that came up - seems like she is Pro-Muslim and anti everything else.
