Joan Rivers' Opulent NYC Penthouse Lists at $29.5 Million {AOL Real Estate}

Apr 14th 2012 2:58AM It doesn't look like a home, but a 5 star hotel and while opulent, it isn't warm and cozy. Thanks, but NO thanks!

Travel Like a Boss: Onboard Singapore Airlines new A380 out of JFK {Gadling}

Feb 19th 2012 12:53PM Nice digs for business and 1st class. Coach still doesn't look like much leg room and small seats as usual. I'd guess the 1st class has to cost a minimum of $6 to 8 Grand, and more likely in the $12 to $20 thousand range for a bed, flat screen tv, personal service, meals, etc. I didnt see where a person could shower which would be nice after a long trip.

98-Year-Old's Birthday Surprise: Eviction Notice From Her Son {AOL Real Estate}

Feb 17th 2012 6:59PM There is a better word to describe him than scumbag, but I doubt I could use it here and keep my email account and I'd no longer have access to the news. Shame on this son for pulling such a dirty stunt and I hope the judge sees the son for what he is: a greedy scumbag and removes his name from the ownership of the house and puts the younger son's name on it and puts him in charge of his mother and her financial affairs and health care.

Cheeky House Tour Takes Marketing to the Next Level {AOL Real Estate}

Dec 14th 2011 12:13PM The reason this is shocking to American's is they are still hung up on the old Puritan ways of looking at the human body and that we are sexual beings. I really didnt see anything that offended me, however, I would hope that if it aired on any USA networks it would be after kids went to bed, or at least after the 10 o'clock news.

Win a Mint Plus Automatic Floor Cleaner! {Shopping Articles Blog}

Dec 13th 2011 4:45PM I am sorry, but I dont want one of these. I just had to comment that the more of these so-called 'time savers' the fatter we get as a society who eat fast food and prepared, frozen packaged items that are not good for us. If a person is so busy they dont have time to clean their own bathroom or kitchen floors, then I would say they need to sit down and prioritize their life and eliminate other things that they should not have in their lives.

Crave-Worthy Wide Calf Boots Under $100 {Shopping Articles Blog}

Nov 6th 2011 2:23PM looks more like a lot of the high end fashion styles, not something comfortable for everyday wear to work. And they don't look like wide calf styles either. Fashion designers only truly design for those women who are 6 fett tall and weigh 100 lbs and wear size zero, whico to me is NOT a size, and size two. I want a decent pair of books to wear in ice, snow and slush, not something to wear to impress people. This is another one of those 'bait and switch' articles as far as I am concerned. Must be a slow news day for AOL

John Malone, Media Mogul, Now Largest Landowner in America {AOL Real Estate}

Oct 14th 2011 4:01PM Why would anyone want to own that much land? Are they insecure? Or just plain greedy? What purpose does it serve? They can't take it with them when they died, and leaving it to their children and grandchildren could be a tax burden on them. Someone should tell them to see a shrink and that 'less, is more."

House of the Day: Brooke Astor's 65-Acre Westchester Estate {AOL Real Estate}

Sep 21st 2011 5:33PM For over a week now, NOTHING AOL / HUFFPOST puts up on their Real Estate page works - the photos link does not work, nor does the links to the property's history, the schools/neighborhood, or the 16 photos link.

So having a 'comments' section is a waste of space and time~

Teenager Builds 130-Square-Foot House for College {AOL Real Estate}

Aug 29th 2011 5:37PM What a great idea for some college students. It will be paid for, and the money normally spent for room/board, or apt. rent/food will be a big savings & after college a place to live the first few years working, saving on rent for a house or apartment. When the time comes, he could rent it out to someone else, or sell it & recoup his investment! One smart kid! Don't you wish he was yours? Or your son was like him?
Congratulations to him & his parents! Great job!

Books by Gadling bloggers {Gadling}

Aug 24th 2011 3:02PM I found two books on the list that drew nt interest. Byzantium: An Illustrated History by Seab McLachlan and An Irreverent Curiosity: In Search of the Church's Strangest Relic in Italy's Oddest Town by David Farley. For lovers of stories ini the Middle Ages, I recently started "Lady of Hay" by Barbara Erskine and reincarnation of a modern day woman in London and her 800 yr old connection to Matilda wife of William de Briose. Reincarnation and hypnosis takes her back to the time of King John and Merry Olde England.
