No one wants to talk to you no matter how much experience you have and what you can bring to the table. After 2 years I am finally working in my industry but at 1/5 the money I used to make. So honey, you ain't alone and you might consider lowering your sights a bit. I am now free-lancing for my last employer and a few others. It was a bitter pill to swallow but I'm alive and getting buy. FYI I was not covered by unemployment so I had to hustle and scramble for myself.. It can be done. My advice, quit complaining to elected officials. They don't care unless you are helping them get re-elected. If you think anyone in Washington gives a crap you are really out of touch and no wonder you're not working. Swallow your pride and go get that fast food job to keep some kind of roof over your head

Oct 11th 2010 2:42PM My wife and I went ahead and joined Direct Buy and have found some very good prices on select items. However we have found that as the article states you can find better pricing on items elsewhere. Bottom line: Like anything else you have to do your homework. I might also add that if we were to do it again, I would not joih unles I was contemplating a major home project such as a kitchen or bath remodel, hardwood floor replacement, or someother major project. We just don't spend enough there to justify the expense. To qualify this statement let me state that this weekend our Costco tab was over $1200 not including food.
