In the countries with socialized medicine they die instead from not receiving the health care at all because their turn at the rationed health care hasn't come up! Their death rate for those diagnosed with cancer is far higher from the extended waiting period for treatment, as well as their limited options.

Tim, you ignorant.... For one thing if you think the moderates are the worst of your opponents, that means that you are afraid of them only because they make a lot of sense! If you had said that the far right were the worst of the lot, that would indicate that you were opposed to the Far right's policies themselves, but lambasting moderates, who vote across party lines more often than most Democrats. (Lieberman and Spector being the moderates on your side) That shows that you're just afraid that people will think that they make sense! You can tell a lot about a person by the opponents he/she chooses.
As for at least respect the man, why didn't you and your ilk tell Dixie Twit Natalie Maines that? Or Garafalo or Sarandon or Sean Penn, or Frankel? you all supported and defended those Lying, traitorous, Anti-American, Hollywood sleazeballs, as they gave aid and comfort to America's enemies.
As to the eight year thing, it took so long for things to go south because the legislature only went Democrat in '06. Now The Left is digging us a hole we may never climb out of and they have done it in just 6 months. More deficit spending in this first 6 months than in ANY 2 years up to this time! and that includes all of TARP on Bush's last term although 1/2 of it was left for The Obama administration to decide how to use!

REMEMBER FOLKS, since only 2/3 of Americans pay income taxes and there are 300 million of us, that means that the cost is divided among only 200 million taxpayers. Therefore, every $Billion those spendthrift monkeys in the legislature spend means $5 you and I owe. For every Trillion (which is the low estimate for the health care bill) you owe $5,000 more. This is on top of what your current share is and will probably NEVER be paid off so you and I will just pay interest on it for the rest of our lives, as will our children and grandchildren!
How do you like the math? He's whipping out our credit card to pay for things for which the debt will be passed on to our kids etc. AFTER you and I pay on it for our lifetimes. Oh, Joy!
All of this so that a few million people can "officially" get health care that the hospitals already are required by law to give them, which they then pass on the cost of to the government and other patients. Ever think about the people that tie up the E.R. with cut fingers instead of going to urgent care places just to avoid a $40 doctor's bill. They are why we pay so much as it is.

However, as one should be judged by one's actions, socialism is as socialism does! It's called SOCIALIZED medicine in the British Isles, Canada and Down Under. Since they live with it they might have some insight as to what to call it! Hmmmm? Aussie doctors have a foreshortened course of study, this leaves them, while decent doctors, less effective and well rounded in some ways.

Someone needs to come out with a book called 'Obama-isms', just like they did with 'Bush-isms'. Turnabout IS fair play! It already should be thicker than 'Bush-isms'.

Have you seen the You-Tube videos of the speeches by Dems about Fannie-Mae and Freddie Mac? Biden, Maxine Waters,Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi Et al, say all kinds of wonderful things about Fannie and Freddie and how there was no need for more oversight or additional regulations. They go on and on about how safe they were.

Hey, Jojo, you keep throwing out these tax cut numbers but you don't understand them. By percentage of income the working poor got the biggest tax cuts. but our incomes are smaller so our tax cuts are smaller. I paid less than 3500 last year on about $47K but the Bush tax cuts saved me 1,000 on my son alone.... OK, that means I would have been paying more than 28% more! Now, if those making $1 million saved 176 times as much then they saved $176,000 and that would mean that they saved
more than they paid the year before. I'm sure they didn't recieve a full remmittance from the government. Now, I'm sure the real statistic is that 1 Millionaire saved 176 times as much as the average at my level but He was probably one of those that was around the $950 million level. That puts his savings closer to... Lets do the math together Hmm? 950,000,000@35%marginal tax rate=332,500,000 in taxes-176,000=33,232,400 new taxes to find his % of savings take 176,000 and divide it by his 332,500,000 original tax level and he saved a whopping 5.29%! Ooohhh how scandalous!
Now your 176 times as much in raw amount becomes less than 1/5 b as much by percentage!!!!

Just taking it another way... since I saved 28% if a millionaire were to save 176 times as much as a percentage of total taxes he'd be saving 4928 percent of his taxes... The government would be paying him more than he got in income! That by itself proves that your figures are misleading at least, more likely total B.S.

We need a strong balanced candidate to remove OB from office in 2012. You can't run second hand candidates.

They do but see where that got us! Obama! I do think that a new candidate would work better, but whom? I'm still trying to find Ron Paul's book at a thrift or used book store, but everyone say's that they are gone within an hour or so of hitting the bookshelf! I keep hearong good things about it, but...

Hopefully, she is reading everything about foreign policy, economics, history, etc. that she can get her hands on and subscribing to The Economist, the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and 20-30 other magazines and newspapers while dictating her book, and spending time with her family.
