Jan 28th 2011 3:16PM Fred, he was wrong about the Corvair! The book was not accurate and Nader does not drive(at least then). It was the buyers who had no experience with that type of car. There was a study a few years ago on how buyers of new cars familiarized themselves. They took German,Japanese and American buyers. The findings went like this: Germans read the entire manual,Japanese read parts and the Americans did not read it at all.
The rear tire pressure was critical!

Jan 28th 2011 2:22PM Even then he was wrong. He made his money due to a invasion of privacy because a dealer not the Corvair. The real problem was the general public was not buying Porsches or other rear engine car and had no experience with them and the DiDion rear suspension.

I had a Corvair it was a great little car. I had lots of fun once I learned it's quirks.
