Apr 17th 2010 11:55AM I'm amazed at how many folks said they couldn't stomach this "diet"! I'm 42 and I LOVE the taste of fruit baby food-I could totally do this diet for several days. It's all about portion & calorie control, as is any diet.

However, it's a ridiculous way to diet and doesn't teach you any good eating habits, so it's only a temporary fix. That's the problem with stupid "diets" like cabbage soup or cayenne pepper & maple syrup. If you have more than 5 lbs to lose just move your body more and eat less!

Aug 6th 2009 11:54AM How about those sick passengers? I was sick on a flight returning from Las Vegas (YES, it was a baaaad Vegas hangover) and the FAs on Southwest were absolutely wonderful to me. I received sympathetic eyes from all of them, and when I requested a paper towel and a trash bag I was told, "sure Sug, just hang in there, I'll be right back". Of course, I was very polite and nice to them to begin with, so I received the same in return. I LOVE flying Southwest!

I learned a few things from the comments, so I think the article was worthy. As far as the uptight comment about calling it gas, Pfttt. I would have said gas too, knowing full well it's jet fuel.

We used a travel agent to book everything, so thankfully our agent had already booked us on another flight. It was quite shocking to get to the airport and be told the airline you're scheduled to fly on is out of business!

Seriously though, it's obvious from the complete story that he was mistreated by airport police. Why would an 80 yr old man need to be thrown down? Unless as crabby said, his temper went out of controll. I've seen older folks lose their temper, and you can tell they don't give a damn what anybody thinks!
