Apr 22nd 2008 8:50PM I usually buy 2-3 pairs of my favorite running sneaker when it goes on sale for the seasons lowest price. This way I can afford to switch pairs. I like the darker gray running shoes since I do a lot of trail running. I then do what the article says. I run with them first , then use them casually, then use them for cutting the lawn, working outside etc.

Apr 22nd 2008 7:03PM Maybe they can adapt this technology for drivers to tell them they are about to fall asleep before they fall asleep and prevent an accident. (It would probably cost a bundle) I know they have those ear devices that beep when your head dozes. But once that buzzer goes off it might just be too late!

Apr 22nd 2008 2:10PM Really neat! I am sure they can work out many of the issue noted in the other comments. A great Idea. Even if it doesn't go mainstream it could be used in many areas like train crossing for example or they could be temporarily setup at an accident scene to stop/slow or warn drivers of the accident. Heck you could even make a 3d sign with it, just use a flat back background.
