Sep 1st 2010 5:18PM My BMI (27.4) indicates that I am overweight at 6'4" and 225 pounds. Yet I have a 50-inch chest over a 35-inch waist and 17.5-inch biceps. My bodyfat percentage is in the mid-teens. That said, forget the BMI and forget the scale! It is the mirror that speaks the truth! Nobody looks at you and says, "Gee I wonder what their BMI is?" They don't ask, "Where is a scale so I can know what they weight?" They simply look at you and pass judgment. If someone forms an opinion of you strictly on the basis of your looks, they are no different than somebody who judges a person by their color or gender. It is high time for us all to depart the world of superficial impressions and take the time to know one another from the inside out!
