Jun 24th 2010 5:29PM All you nasty negative men need to shut your mouths. It is none of your business what a woman does to make herself pretty. This goes for all you negative women also. None of you have any right to to castigate someone for trying to look better. Obviously none of you have any idea what it's like to feel ugly. Take a look at your own faults ( I'm sure you have them ) before you denigrate someone else. The only 'crime' this woman committed was not researching the price. Personally, I would love to have long, thick lashes.
But even if I DID have a job, I still probably wouldn't pay for lash extensions.
I'd also love to have a breast lift, but that's not happening anytime soon either.
:-D Bottom line, lighten up everyone.

May 15th 2010 6:56PM I loved SNF. The opening shots of T struuting to the music were awesome. The BeeGees' music just took me away to somewhere beautiful. I had a HUGE crush on the one with the lion's mane of hair - can't believe I can't remember his name ! The movie captured perfectly the angst, frustration, and elation of being a teenager. I loved disco because I could actually dance to it. For someone that grew up an awkward outsider disco was a dream come true. I even had the Danskin wrap skirt - remember those !? Night Fever still gives me chills, and Night on Bald Mountain still makes me think of SNF. Many times I wish life was still that semi-simple.

May 1st 2010 7:45PM Wow, Michael, do you have it wrong ! I think office pranks are a great way to relieve on-the-job stress and I love them. Am I sitting pretty financially ? Hell no ! I haven't worked in 18 months ! But these pranks remind me of the camaraderie you can have in a good job. I miss it greatly. Unfortunately no-one seems to be hiring 54-year-olds these days. Lighten up.

May 1st 2010 7:26PM A prank I still remember: I used to do Data Processing for a steel company. We all had our own drawers. One afternoon I came in to start the swing shift and couldn't figure out why the day shift operator was hanging around. I pulled open my drawer to find one black ( plastic ) spider right in the middle of a white sheet of paper. Even knowing it was plastic,and not really afraid of spiders, I shrieked, 'WHO PUT THAT IN THERE ?!" She and my bosses were laughing so hard I thought they would fall down. After I regained my breath, I also laughed. Priceless !

Mar 31st 2010 3:18PM Another thing I'd like to see Hollywood do is THINK and RESEARCH before they put something into a movie ! Remember in Finding Nemo : "All drains lead to the ocean." Well, they don't ! How many fish do you think got dumped down sinks and toilets after children saw that movie ?? So what, you're thinking, it was just a fish ! How about the latest Jennifer Aniston movie showing a parrot in a very small and cramped cage, with NO food or water ? At the end of the movie, the captive parrot is "set free" out the window ! Captive parrots cannot live on their own !!!! They don't know how to forage for themselves, nor find a safe and warm place to spend the night, and they end up freezing or starving to death OR being carried off and EATEN ALIVE by a predator bird or cat ! Also, most captive birds have had their wings trimmed and CANNOT FLY AWAY from danger ! How many birds will be "set free" by clueless children or simply cruel older people ?

I am sick and tired of the way Hollywood jumps to show whatever depravilty a writer can dream up. Do they think no-one pays attention ? Do they think no-one copies what they see ?
WAKE UP, MOVIE MAKERS ! Take some responsibility for what you film ! Before you film something, ask yourself: Does this teach others how to cause harm to someone or something ?
Does this teach others that they can do what they want and not take responsibility for their own actions ? If so, DON'T FILM IT !

Nov 9th 2009 7:56PM The only people who get the lifestyle you listed are the hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants who are flooding our country. If our government stopped throwing money at them it would have a lot more money to spend on it's tax-paying citizens, who should come first. We could also balance our budget a lot faster if we pulled out of Iraq and Afghanistan. I haven't noticed any other countries jumping in to help us over there !
