Sep 16th 2011 11:15AM This article is just complete BS and has no merit but to instill more ignorance than that already exists LOL. 1st off "LATINO" or "HISPANIC" are just descriptions used for spanish speaking peoples/cultures, hispanics/latinos is NOT a RACE. 2ndly spanish is a ROMANCE language that descends from VULGAR LATIN which was spoken in ancient rome and from which SPANISH,PORTUGUSE,FRENCH,ITALIAN, ROMANIAN,SICILIAN,ROMANSH and other languages are derived from.SO YES ITALIANS/PORTUGUESE AND SO ON WOULD ALSO BE "L A T I N O S"! 3rd ANYBODY,and I mean ANYBODY can speak spanish regardless of their SKINCOLOR thanks to the Spanish Empire and some portuguese/french who tried to colonize half the known world,therefore race does not dictate who speaks LATIN languages because WHITES,BLACKS,ARABS,NATIVE AMERICANS, EVEN ASIANS and/or a mixture of speak it everyday,people who dont even have a drop of european speak spanish regarless of nationality just like people in the USA speak ENGLISH without actually being "ENGLISH" .............................LMAO, ( "L A T I N") COMES FROM EUROPE FOR THOSE WHO DONT KNOW)
