Best '50s TV Shows (10-1) {Inside TV Blog}
Nov 8th 2009 9:53AM SuperCar? Wasn't that an early 60s show? Remember the lead character's name? Mike Mercury. Then there was Fireball XL5, Stingray and, of course, Thunderbirds. Anyone remember Crusader Rabbit? That and TV's #1 animated hero - Mighty Mouse. "Here I come to save the day".
'Top Gun' Cast: Where Are They Now? {Inside Movies Blog}
Nov 8th 2009 7:48AM McGillis had aged horribly. I took a long time to recognose her in that sci-fi movie she did. Maybe she felt she had to look butch after announcing that she was a lesbian. I'm glad to see that she has allowed herself to change back to a fairly attractive and more mature woman. As for her sexual preferences, who cares? She is still a great actress who has been underused in the industry.
Best TV Pilots: Series Premieres That Made Our Jaws Drop {Inside TV Blog}
Nov 7th 2009 5:57PM So many good ones to choose from and you put up a list of shows I never watched unless trapped as a guest at someone's house.
Competitive Eater Crazy Legs Conti's Diet and Fitness Routine {That's Fit}
Nov 7th 2009 5:47PM May not be competitive eating,, but this article brings to my mind the TV show of Man vs Food. That and Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern.
Ten Minutes to Wapner! 'People's Court' Judge to Return for His 90th Birthday {Inside TV Blog}
Nov 7th 2009 5:42PM Too many judges on TV these days. Put them all on one channel. Of course all reality shows should be lumped together, not just the judges. Wouldn't mind catching Wapner's return to the bench.
'Karate Kid' Remake: What We Know So Far {Inside Movies Blog}
Nov 6th 2009 10:31AM It's been my experience that remakes and sequels almost never measure up to the original. From the way this article describes the new Karate Kid, I have little doubt that this one will have any more success than most other remakes and sequels. Pity.
Giants Ace Tim Lincecum Busted for Possession of Marijuana {Fanhouse MLB Blog}
Nov 6th 2009 10:17AM It's the hair, man. If he'd gotten a haircut, he probably wouldn't have had his car searched. Pity he's not pitching in the A.L. The Yankees could offer up Matsui in trade for him. Lincecum would make an awesome addition to the Yankees.
Joe Girardi: World Series Champion Manager and Good Samaritan {Fanhouse MLB Blog}
Nov 5th 2009 3:58PM Prima donna? Hmmm! Before I dispute you on your use of the word, I'd like to know what your definition of the word is. Only thing I will do is point out the consistancy of Derek Jeter's play throughout his career. If being one of the most consistant players over the span of his career makes him a prima donna, I hope the Yankees can find 8 more just like him.
Best TV Theme Songs Tournament: The Final Four {Inside TV Blog}
Nov 5th 2009 3:47PM How can you be bitter about MTM losing, when, obviously, no thought went into the selection and matching of the theme songs in the first place. How exactly did you decide which themes would run against eachother? Flip a coin? Pick names out of a hat? There were so many that didn't even appear that should have been put up in the voting. Should have been one round of open voting to determine which show's theme was number one. Oh yeah, there should have been space for write-ins too.
Will 'Numb3rs' Get Canceled? {Inside TV Blog}
Nov 5th 2009 3:38PM Sorry, but I must disagree with some of the comments already posted. Of the friday night schedule, Numb3rs is the only one I don't watch. Let's not dump Ghost Whisperer and Medium. Let's move Numn3rs to another night and give it another shot at salvation. My 10 p.m. show on friday is Sanctuary on the Syfy channel.
