May 11th 2009 8:51PM Oh, this is nothing, to what is/could be laying in wait for many in the future.
All alcohol contains sufficient ability to deal out, severe permenant health affliction(s), as it pretty much see's fit !
The most current/common ones, in no particular order:
-Grand Mal Seizures
-Rapidly Progressive Blindness
-Rapidly Progressive Deafness
-Rapidly Corroded Livers
-Heart Attacks
None with any forewarning signs, nor any cures at this time.

Suddenly, things aren't so funny or cute anymore, when your perfect, well organized life is literally torn asunder ! Oh, and gee, forever ? Ya huh !!

Our youth are following directly in our slimy footsteps too !
We must somehow convince our Governments for mandatory health warning labels on all liquor containers, similar to what's been forced upon Cigarette Manufacturers !
It hasn't been easy to even have them acknowledge our requests, but, us old sods, don't intend to give up !
Otherwise, what will happen to our teens ?
At this time, there are 7.3Million in the USA alone, who've admitted to drinking daily !
Imagine what the actual truth is !

Just think about this, and please, think hard.......because its coming, and coming fast.......
Whats going to happen to all our Professions, when we've all been dumped in Nursing Homes.......who will take over/assume our jobs ? Hhhmmmm ?

Oct 22nd 2008 5:24PM I understand your feelings, however, all alcohol contains an ability to deal out severe health afflictions, at random, without warning.
As children, neither my late husband or myself were allowed to drink, however, we discovered that both our biological mothers drank heavily before discovering pregnancy. Now normally that's not been a problem, but it is ! We both picked up drinking in our late teens, without a problem, then well educated & excellent jobs, good income, sports minded, never drunk or this new 'binging', after 30 yrs we were hit permanently with Grand Mal Seizures, no warning, and no cures.
While our Mothers didn't tell us to drink, it is believed by many in the medical profession, that we inherited the ability from them, and therefore a aftermath illness, so to speak.
Personally, I have a bitter hatred towards liquor, as you can well imagine. Haven't touched the crap for 18 mos+ since losing my hubby. Many of us are struggling to somehow convince Government to pass legislation for mandatory health warning labels on all containers, similar to whats been done to Cigarettes.
Its not going to wipe out the scourge of society, but hopefully it will help our youth.
Our decease as well as many others like: rotted liver, complete deafness, near blindness, heart attacks are all from drinking, and all with no cures!
Please take care in your dealing with this minion of Satan himself !!

Obviously you have your brain working well !!
Alcohol alone is dangerous, I can tell you of that first hand, but this mix, WOW sounds even worse!

Jun 27th 2008 6:33PM The last paragraph of that article on children/alcohol - MODEL GOOD DRINKING BEHAVIOUR - you couldn't have said it any clearer than that !!!

I too have something to add, regarding the horrific health problems ALCOHOL contains, without many of us being aware at all !!!
