Family Turns Grief Into Action, Fundraising for March of Dimes {ParentDish}
Apr 29th 2011 12:21PM I know what these two parents are going through. I lost bot h my son and daughter ecause of seizures (Yes! Seizures di indeed cause death.) I lost my 27 year old son in October 2007, and a mere six months later, lost my daughter 30 in April of 2008. God took them both in their sleep. They went to bed one night and never to awake in this life again. However, in our case, there were never any fund raisers, people careing..nothing! We had to face the whole odeal (and still do!) alone, with the except of a very few (VERY FEW!). These two parents are very fortunate in having careing people who raised a considerable amount of money for them (it helps, but doesn't do anything towards the grief!).
Super Bowl May Punt Oscars to Monday {Moviefone Blog}
Aug 28th 2010 9:53PM It really matters none to me, movies are too dern expensive to go to in the first place..upwards to $7-10 per ticket (and another $10 or more if you buy refreshments!) I just wait a few months until they [the movie] comes out on CD, rent it for a mere $3 or even buy it for less than $20. I really don't care care who is the best actor or whatever. At any rate the Emmy's as well as the Oscars are so drawn out and boreing. Whoever wins thanks everyone up to and including their pet dog! DULL!
Four tips to save gasoline this summer {WalletPop}
Aug 4th 2010 12:39PM First of all, I am NOT a specialist on cars, more so, as complicated as they now are ( even have a hard time find where you even put oil in!), but I think with the technology nowdays, driving with the a/c on or off really won't make a whole lot of difference, maybe a mile or two per gallon (maybe), I dunno. I use my a/c all the time during the hot summer months, if I get or don't get better mileage really doesn't make a whole lot of difference, I still to gas up regardless. But, if one really wants to get better mileage from their vehicle: PARK IT IN THE DRIVEWAY AND TAKE A BUS!!! (Hmmmm, why does one park in "driveway" and drive on "parkway"?)
Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton Lose a Family Friend {The Boot}
Aug 4th 2010 12:09PM Oh yes, a pet (regardless of what type) can do so much more for a human in companionship than another human can. For one thing, they NEVER talk back!! And to lose that companionship suddenly (if its only been a few months or many years) is still hard to deal with with some people. Pets to some are their whole lives, and its very hard NOT to get really attached to them. (Yes, I will say too, some to tend to go over-board a little, but that is of their choice!) Pets are much easier to deal with than people that's for sure! But, I'm not being offensive here, but, do animals go to Heaven? (I really can't see why not, they're as much a part of God's creation as people, possibly more so, since they were here before humans, weren't they?) I'm thinking in getting a gorilla for a pet..I mean, who's in their right mind would cross one?? Of course, I'm kidding. I'll stick with my Arabian horses (six now).
Bank Burglary Charges Dropped Against Rip Torn {PopEater}
Jul 13th 2010 4:21PM Oh, I would love to be an star (regardless if I'm good or not!). I could do anything I wanted and not go to jail, and in a lot of cases, not even fined. I could literally ransankle motel/hotel rooms and not have to pay for the damages, not one lousy red cent! Of course being handsome/pretty with a damn sexy body would help considerably. But, alas. I'm no star, I'm not handsome nor have a sexy body..looks like "poor moi!"
Mel Gibson and Longtime Agency WME Part Ways {Moviefone Blog}
Jul 12th 2010 3:26PM Mel used to be..READ:USED TO BE..one of my favorite actors, But now, I think I may have some reseverations. One of which, now when I see a movie with him in it, I have to cease and wonder where does his "acting" start and where does it stop? Yes, in the past he has starred in and directed many excellent movies (That one of Jesus is debatable.). Maybe Mel took his acting too far into his real life. I guess sometimes that could happen. However, none of this is any excuse of what he is doing now, that is, if all is true. The media seems to get things, well, distorted along the way. But, I don't look for Mel to be standing in line for a unemployment check any time in the near furture either! Mad Max? Maybe, more correctly Mad Mel!!!! (Look at that, irony, both begin with the letter M, and both have three letters...coincidense??? Maybe.)
Testing Times Square: 'What is Foursquare?' {Switched}
Jul 11th 2010 4:16PM Four- squares? Maybe squares in 4? Then again, maybe it's nothing at all but just a word that really has no meaning..much like what our President says all the time! Oh, I knew there was a way to bring him into this! HAHAHA!

The McChrystal Scandal: How Would You Handle It? {AOL Small Business}
Jun 24th 2010 3:21PM This isn't the first time (nor will it possibly be the last) where the C-I-C has "fired" a high ranking general. Harry Truman fired McArthur (and he too got a lot of static because of it). Of course, there's always more to it that what us the public are aware of. When anyone oversteps their authority and/or make comments that is unbecoming of their position (be it the military or of a private sector), action(s) must be taken as was in this case. As in all cases, there are three sides:Yours, Theirs......and the facts!!! EVEV when a President does, (NIXON!!!) actions was taken (in that case however, it was well justified!!!)
