Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor Kiss in Paris {PopEater}

Feb 2nd 2010 4:12PM That's supposed to be an insult? Believing in equal human rights and being accepting and mature instead of a closed-minded moron? Heck yes I have my spot saved at the Gay Pride parade, and when I see you there I'll give you a wink.

'Boston Legal' Actor Justin Mentell Dies in Car Crash {PopEater}

Feb 2nd 2010 4:02PM ae could have responded to Marcus rationally and maturely, but instead just handed back more racism. Pretty pathetic, ae.

Jul 16th 2009 1:46PM Ron's popularity status was pathetic enough without the entire school seeing the "cauldron cut" his mum had given him over the summer.

Week-Old Puppy Recovering After Being Flushed Down the Toilet {Pawnation}

Jun 17th 2009 11:24AM The child is just a little boy who made a mistake. The consequences could have been very bad, but with some amazing teamwork, the puppy was saved. The kid shouldn't be written off as stupid for this if he's learned his lesson--everyone commenting on how the child should be punished (?!) has done SOMETHING dumb in their own childhoods. If he does this AGAIN, be my guest and call him whatever you want.

Cat Fancy! Meet the Top Breeds {Pawnation}

May 4th 2009 7:42AM Totally agree with KD and Sarah on the cat "husband" situation. Amateur breeders are one of the reasons for so many unwanted pets in America. Mixed breeds often live longer with fewer health problems, as their genetics aren't as repetetive as a Britney Spears song (purebreds are just INbred). There's no reason to make more kittens when there are so many who would make wonderful, loving, and UNIQUE companions. You couldn't buy a better cat from a breeder.

Animals and money: Bronx Zoo lays off hundreds of 'unpopular' animals {WalletPop}

Apr 27th 2009 6:50PM As a worker in the zoo field, I see the financial crisis the Bronx Zoo (long considered to be one of the best in the nation) is undergoing as a real tragedy and a shame. It's a crime that unique, thought-provoking exhibits are thrown by the wayside because they aren't considered mainstream "safari" enough. Practically EVERY zoo has a goat petting zoo. Practically EVERY zoo boasts zebras and giraffes. If the kids didn't see it in the film "Madagascar," it isn't considered worth paying admission to see. I must say, though, that this article was written with a real sensitivity and understanding of the workings of a zoo. That was very refreshing.

Outdoor Gardening Do's & Don'ts {Shopping Articles Blog}

Mar 26th 2009 10:51PM Al is absolutely right- lawn care is a luxury for some of us. It's expensive and often detrimental to the environment. Native landscaping is friendlier on the wallet and nature, and can be VERY attractive and striking! :)
