Obese passenger forces neighbor on US Airways flight to stand for 7 hours {Gadling}

Nov 23rd 2011 6:40PM I do not think the airline is offering this man enough, but that is just my opinion.

As for the obese flying..I am considered obese, but have never had a problem with the seats nor the seat belts. It is the leg room that bothers me. I am a woman almost 6 ft tall.

One time (while visiting my children at Guantanamo Bay) we were all required to give our weight and our baggage was weighed. This was so they could calculate the fuel needed to get us back to Norfolk plus a little more in case of a problem. This scared the heck out of me not the size of the seats.

Mom Says Son's Life Was Saved Because of Facebook {ParentDish}

Jul 16th 2011 7:35AM The first time I had heard of Kawaski Disease was when my daughter's nephew was diagnosed with it.

The first thing I thought was "this must be something only his dad's people have" . His dad is half Japanese. With a little reading I was able to get the correct information. Thank goodness this lady was able to get the help she needed regardless where she got it. At least she was able to discuss the possiblity with her Doctor who then came up with the correct diagnosis.

Name My (Sweet) Ride for a Chance to Win a HP Veer phone {Gadling}

Jun 14th 2011 6:36PM My Dad named his car Shasta for the same reason........He was born in 1890 so he had one of the REALLY EARLY cars.

George Lopez buys championship rings for L.A. school's baseball team {Celestrellas}

Jun 11th 2011 9:22AM Couldn't you just let it go at the compliment. Was it necessary to just LOOK for something NEGATIVE to say?

I am not a George Lopez fan, but I thought this was absolutely outstanding on his part.

Students Fed Cold Sandwiches to Punish Them for Hot Lunch Disses {ParentDish}

May 17th 2011 3:50PM One reason so many kids have such terrible eating habits are the parents. Put something in front of them and many say "I know you won't like that because I don't"

At my house the rule was "you have to taste everything new. That way if you like it you will eat it. If not you will not be forced." Well anyway, my daughters are grown and there is very little they will not eat. They chose vegetables over cake several times. They had tried it and liked it.

Tony Danza Files for Divorce From Wife of 24 Years {PopEater}

Mar 11th 2011 4:07PM Hated to read that. You never want to see a marriage break up.

Not one time in the article did the mention his singing. He has a great singing voice. Does a wonderful job singing the old good stuff. I heard a song by him on the radio and could not believe it was him.

The next day I found the CD and everything on it was great

And the No. 1 Workplace Complaint Is ... {AOL Jobs}

Feb 12th 2011 7:14PM That is the most disgusting remark I have seen in a while.

As for my pet peeve .....people who feel they must bathe in their cologne or whatever are totally gross.

If you use plain old soap, water and deodorant you do not need all that crap.
Save it for a night out and not the office or shopping.

Time to Turn Off National Anthem Before Sports Events {Fanhouse - Kevin Blackistone}

Feb 9th 2011 7:51AM The National Anthem should be heard at every opportunity, but it needs to be sung with respect.

The way "singers" slaughter the beautiful song is disgusting.

Have someone who can really sing and know how this Anthem should be respected do the job. Even a 10 yr old knew that at a recent basketball game.

Florida Wins Outback Bowl for Urban Meyer, 23 Seniors, Ian Lockwood {Fanhouse NCAA Football Blog}

Jan 2nd 2011 9:23AM How old is Lockwood? Has anyone contacted St Jude Hospital in Memphis,Tn? It is possible that he is still young enough to be refered to them.
They do not charge the parents or patient for anything that is not covered by insurance. It is a wonderful facility and has done wonders for many people.

I am not sure what the cut off age is, but it would certainly be worth checking into. And.....once a patient of St Jude always a patient of St Jude.
