May 29th 2010 1:56PM i work for the data processing part of the census. what "joe" left out of this article was the reason the enumerator came knocking on his door. perhaps he mailed it in late. perhaps it was illegible (yes, people really DO read these...in fact 3 people read them for fewer errors). perhaps "joe" didnt' complete it in full. and there are random enumerations as well just as a check. i have worked for the census bureau for several years. i love my job there. yes, the initial application was hard. the test i had to take was like an SAT test. it lasted several hours, but it was well worth it!

and as far as overtime, i have always been compensated for the extra time i put in.

and to the one who said census employees can't talk to the media. we can as long as we don't leak title 13 information. general info is ok.

May 5th 2009 8:28AM wow. yelling at your kids makes you a bad parent? what next? natural child birth? that pain might traumatize them (hope you detect the sarcasm). you're not allowed to discipline your children anymore. someone always has an "issue" with it. those who criticize either a) don't have children or b) have children who are helluns because they let the kids do whatever they wanted. i think kate is a great mom who has a lot on her plate. yes, she does get snippy with jon, but i get snippy too and i only have 2 children.
