Nancy Pelosi Tears Up Discussing Tone of Health Care Debate in America {Politics Daily}
Sep 18th 2009 2:16PM I respect the Speaker's comments about what happened in the 70's and how fresh those memories are. Well, Madam Speaker, how about opening your ears and listening to what is being said by those who disagree with the contents of the currently proposed Health Care system. I have yet to hear any comments from you, or Senator Harry Reid, that lets me believe there is anything else besides a battering ram pushing what many Americans oppose. You are not the government alone. Government of, by, and for the people is what is in the constitution. What is not in there is government because government says so. I hope you are not concerned about my comment,(opinion), about what is currently happening in Congress and the White House. It is time for both sides of the aisle to take a serious look at what the people of the United States are saying, and then put that into action. What is proposed now is too expensive, especially in a time in which our government has spent far too much of our grandchildren's money already. Look at reasonable, constitutional, popularly supported by the citizenry, solutions to health care in the United States. Above all, do not include illegal aliens in any part of any health care bill. If you want to help them, send them home and rewrite the laws about entry into this country to make it faster and easier for them to return LEGALLY. Speaker Pelosi, I hope you read this comment, have it read to you, or, in some manner, become aware of its contents. I have no desire to see this country return to the evil of the 70's. I do have a strong desire to see our government work with us, not dictate to us. Then the freedom of speech we all enjoy, will yield results so many more of us can live with peacefully. Thank you.
Should Paralyzed Vet Get a Free (Amusement Park) Ride? {Asylum}
Jun 19th 2009 2:11PM I agree. This man served his country, and all of us, with honor and major sacrifice. He, and all who have served our country so well should be admitted to all amusement parks free and with a huge smile and words of thanks. The real "bottom line" is what have we done to thank all the vets who have come home from war in defense of our country and all of its citizens?
Store policy stops Michaels from taking quarters as payment {WalletPop}
Sep 30th 2008 7:50AM Michael's must be doing a bang up business if they don't have to offer good customer service, and especially to a young girl who will, one day, be an adult shopping at A.C. Moore. Besides giving poor customer service, Michael's needs to clean up their aisle displays, offer more variety, get better lighting in their stores, and remind their employees, bottom to top, that a smile and good manners will bring in more customers than rudeness and dismissiveness. I hope this young girl will grow up to be in a position to buy Michael's, (if it still exists by then), and make it a much better place to shop. Until then, I shop at A.C. Moore!
