Jun 26th 2010 3:10PM When I reached about 17 my Dad would let me have a few beers at home but the rule was after one beer--no driving. It took the mystery out of it for me so when I got to college I had no desire to binge drink and make an ass of myself.
Even now, at 51, a few at home is cool or if away from home, I let my wife (who doesn't drink) drive. The old man was right in my book.
