Jul 14th 2010 8:38PM Kaden, muslims aren't asking Americans to wear burqas, they want to preserve their right to wear it. If you walked out wearing a kilt, drinking whiskey and eating haggis, no one will stop you. That's the magic of living here, the freedom to be who you are. There is a neighborhood here in New York with a big hasidic population that tried to ban women from riding their bikes into the neighborhood wearing shorts. It wasn't passed of course, because living in the US, women have the right to wear what they want. They also make their women wear heavy garments in the summer... No one is stopping them, because it's their religion and they have the right to express themselves, as do you.

Jul 14th 2010 7:30PM The amount of ignorance present in your comment is deplorable. Just exactly what have you been reading? You should probably stop getting your information from those sources, because you will remain ignorant.

1. Obama isn't supporting sharia law nor is he a muslim. If he is a muslim then, deriving from your very statement about him supporting sharia law, his wife would be in a burqa.
2. Women are not allowed to wear a veil over their face when taking an ID picture in the United States of America, this includes DMV photos.
3. If by "our way of life" you mean over eating, binge drinking, and acting as promiscuous as possible , then maybe we should re-evaluate our system of living? Not everyone enjoys letting it all hang out. Our true way of life exists only due to the freedom given to us by our forefathers... This includes religious rights. No one is stopping your from living the way you want to, whether it makes another person uncomfortable or not.

Also, not all muslim women "Come" to this country. A lot of them are citizens by birth, or are you saying that they are less American because they are muslim? In which case, where exactly are you telling them to go back to?

Women aren't allowed to walk around in shorts in most muslim countries, and they are banned by law, if we were to go and do the same thing here, then we are no better than they are.

Mar 17th 2010 2:09PM I like her songs. I don't care about the hype. They are catchy and she says so herself. She's a performer. If you don't know what that is, look up performance art. It's not about fame and hype. I see that in her work. Anyway, she does look super tired in this video in my opinion. Her sense of weird is her doing strange dance moves, but she's not even dancing in this video. I guess it gets to you when you are going all over the world in a short amount of time. I also think she should eat a bit more.
