Sandra Bullock's Baby: A Curious Case {BV Black Spin}
May 5th 2010 7:50PM I am just happy to see someone adopting within our country. There are so many children in the US that need loving homes. I realize that a child, is a child and any child that needs a home, deserves one ... but, I also think that it is time for children in this country to be given the same opportunity as those "celebrity designer adoptions" that gain mass media attention.
Sandra Bullock is not the first celebrity to adopt a black child. Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, and Hugh Jackman and his wife have also adopted black children ... as have many other celebrities.
Ms. Bullock's adopting of Louis has gained attention, due to her recent marital problems. And while that was headline news, the public was unaware of the baby having been adopted.
By the way, as I read this article, not realizing it is was posted on a black website, I, as a white woman thought it was very "anti black". It's interesting, had it been written by a white person, it would have been, totally racist. But, written by a black woman, her perspective is deemed acceptable.
Ooo, Baby Baby: Top Songs Inspired by Children {Spinner}
Apr 14th 2010 1:54AM The most beautiful song ever written about a parent's love for their child, is Regina Belle singing; "If I Could"

Lindsay Lohan's Obituary Getting Pre-Written? {PopEater}
Mar 29th 2010 4:07PM Every major publication has obits pre-written, with biographical details of anyone news worthy. This is just an attempt to create some sort of "shock value" piece. Wow Pop Eater, you're really scrapping bottom, this time. Keep it up, and we'll be seeing you in the "death of a desperate website" archives!!
'Letters to Jackie' -- How America Consoled the First Family {Lemondrop}
Mar 28th 2010 11:29AM It sounds like the author, Emily Tran is assuming that because Kennedy was shot in 1963, that those who were around would either be dead, or too old to use a computer. Although this is history, for MOST of us, it is not ancient history, (dinosaurs were no longer roaming the earth in 1963, lol). Believe it or not, those of us in our 50's and beyond, can still recall the event, and use a computer ... along with a multitude of other technological devises. And here's a mind blowing thought for young Ms Tan, although I watched the Ed Sullivan show as a kid, downloads to my iPod include Pink, Lady Gaga, Beyonce and the list goes on ...
As a young writer, never assume your readers to be any specific demographic ... unless of course, you are Dr Seuss : )
Susan Boyle's Idol Gets Nasty, Calls Her a 'Virus' {PopEater}
Jan 31st 2010 6:19PM I'd say Elaine Paige has caught the virus, "Green With Envy", and might need a shot of humility, to cure her needlessly inflated head!!!
Susan Boyle's Idol Gets Nasty, Calls Her a 'Virus' {PopEater}
Jan 31st 2010 2:50PM What a classless thing to say about any fellow performer. She should be proud that Susan Boyle has been so kind and gracious. No one outside of Britain's West End, had ever heard of Elaine Paige until Susan Boyle mentioned her name. And there are many performers from the West End, that we "Yanks" are familiar with, ie: Sarah Brightman. So for all her years and experience, in doesn't seem that Ms Paige had what it takes to make it "across the pond". I'd say Elaine Paige has caught the virus, "Green With Envy", and might need a shot of humility, to cure her needlessly inflated head!!!
Obama Musical Mania Overcomes Germany {Asylum}
Jan 15th 2010 1:58AM Whatever your feelings are towards Barack Obama, it is disgusting to bash the German people by referencing Hitler. Just like all Muslims are not terrorists, all Germans were not Nazis during WW2. Hitler and Bin Laden gained power by fueling hate. Using the same tactics, makes you sound pretty similar to Adolf and Osama.
BTW ... the youtube clip from the show, looks pretty good!!!
Opinion: Suffering Kids Are Not Funny {ParentDish}
Dec 29th 2009 5:25PM Gimme a break ... the kid wasn't left there for hours. There was no real fear or panic in his voice. Kids have no problem becoming hysterical when they are frightened. This little guy was none of the above. He knew his parent were there and would help him out. It's a silly, cute, harmless video. Typical little boy antics.
Comparing a potentially life threatening situation to this video, makes wonder if Tom Henderson might be suffering from a bit of Munchausen by proxy syndrome!!!
Parents Pull Child's Tooth With RC Car {Asylum}
Nov 30th 2009 4:25PM Give me a break ... someone should call "neurotic reporter services" and take Danny Gallagher keyboard away from him, for even suggesting that this child was being abused. How dare he compare the horrible atrocities that warrant child protective services, to a creative means of pulling this little girls tooth, that she clearly enjoyed.
Chaz Bono Talks Sex, Puberty and Shaving {PopEater}
Oct 29th 2009 10:44PM Though we haven't seen each other in years, I can tell you, Chaz Bono is one of the sweetest people you would ever want to meet.
Kindness, compassion and respect are timeless qualities.
Chaz seemed oblivious to being a child of famous parents and financial privilege.
So before you pass judgement or say anything unkind, it might help to know that this is someone with feelings, who is genuinely nice, and an extremely likable person.
Having the courage to face public reaction, to a very private, difficult and personal decision, is more than most of us could endure.
