Was Alexander Hamilton President? {Holidash News}
Feb 21st 2011 9:17AM You know, this piece is silly and bogus. Your attempting to turn it into a screed against Democrats is merely your attempt to twist this to your personal agenda. It could very easily be argued that they were all republicans being interviewed because they didn't know what they were talking about, but were afraid to say "I don't really know." This is a trivial time waster.

Navy Considers 'Wii Fit' and 'DDR' to Whip Recruits into Shape {Switched}
May 27th 2010 6:53PM The sad part is that this country in general has gone this badly to "pot". I spent 20 years in the Navy ('75 -95) and much of it didn't have solid PT standards. They did institute PT testing in the 90's, and I needed to work out so I wouldn't remediate, or possibly not make the final re enlistment. After I got out, I didn't keep up with it, so I am having to work up to some stamina and endurance again, which sucks, but I am totally the one responsible for my situation. My son, now living off his mother, is too fat to enlist. It is a sad state. If this helps, then go for it. But you have to institute standards and provide opportunities to exercise.

May 26th 2010 5:07PM I agree with your comment. Even the most casual of observers knows that when the word body is used in this sort of story, it's deceased. I have a theory that AOL is hiring journalism school dropouts, because they work REALLY cheap! It also suggests how much contempt they have for their customers.
Elena Kagan's Fashion Sense: Robin Givhan and the Nominee's Legs {Politics Daily}
May 25th 2010 8:08PM This is the lamest reason to commit words to paper or the monitor screen I can think of!!! Why do we care what she looks like or how she dresses. I think that this Givhans woman and this columns' author ought to go do community service, like tutoring reading students to make up for this waste of opinionating. FIND SOMETHING THAT WILL IMPROVE THE WORLD! S O S! STamp Out Snarkiness!!!

Why Liberals Are Right to Refuse to Honor the Confederacy {Politics Daily}
Apr 12th 2010 9:29AM To DumbasaDemocrat,
Does this mean that somebody is celebrating a Jane Fonda Day in America? I don't think so.
Of course we don't celebrate a "Vietnam Victory Day" either
Why Liberals Are Right to Refuse to Honor the Confederacy {Politics Daily}
Apr 12th 2010 9:14AM The South wanted to do what they wanted to do. This included maintaining chattel slavery, and the politicians of the South wanted to not only maintain this, but they wished to extend the slavery to new sections of the country.
Since they were thwarted in this, they decided to secede from the Union. Lincoln felt they couldn't do that, and a war was fought, at great expense over whether or not they could do so. The people, like Lee, who put their state ahead of the federal government rebelled and attempted to secede. The state identification was so very strong, that the vast majority of regiments, on both sides, were raised by individual states. We have the descendants of these regiments today in our National Guard.
The ultimate point is though, that "the sacrifices" of the confederates were based on a flawed theory that each state could do as they wanted, even if it was in opposition to the Federal government. They lost the war, and helped industrialize the North and make the United States into a continental power in the process of quashing their outmoded economic system of chattel slavery. I repeat, They lost! This is like honoring somebody who lost the spelling bee, or the people that failed an exam. We don't do that for those losers. Why should we honor those who had a failed rebellion?
Political Extremism: Made in the GOP? {Politics Daily}
Apr 6th 2010 11:08PM the urologist you mention has his practice in Mt Dora, Florida, and it appears he lives in Eustis, another nearby town. Just not fair to blame it on Orlando, Okay? He comes from the same Florida county that didn't let the students watch the Presidents Back to school speech. It's kinda scary, some of the loons that spout off around here.
