Mar 24th 2009 11:16AM I, too, have lupus, like my father before me. Like the family of women who wrote, lupus can be hereditery. I am on a regimen of pain relievers (although, reliever is a bit of a strech),anti-inflamatories, and nerve pain pills. I do not have any organ involvement, thank God. I also have RA and fibromyalgia. My family is not very supportive, but it gets tiresome for them. The worst for me is the pain, which is constant, and often wakes me at night. I think more attention needs to be focused on auto-immune diseases of all kinds, as they are all related. Good luck to all who wrote in.
