Nov 23rd 2010 4:02PM I've had dim cats and I've had brilliant cats...they are individuals. I've known dogs that while they can learn lots of human pleasing behaviors, they will not get the message no matter how many times a horse kicks their teeth out....herding dogs will herd, or try to, even if it gets them killed. I'm not sure that is terribly bright. Just from my own personal experience I have found most cats to be more saavy than dogs. The cats know which horse to stay completely away from. Dogs don't get it.

The money is not the issue, and I'm surprised so few seem to 'get' that the point of his climb is Genocide, an even bigger hurdle than Everest. Why aren't we discussing the way Obama completely ignored North Korea's Nuclear weapons program until they are now in a position to launch one at this country, to say nothing of Japan? The Obama's little fairy tale life will mean nothing when this country is obliterated by nations that mean to do us harm and it is plain to see there is no one at the helm that is willing to do anything to stop them. This country is sunk and Obama keeps throwing more crap on deck to make sure it never rises again.

Nov 20th 2008 2:16AM I am happy to see a couple of democrats sticking up for Governor Palin. This is a ridiculous charge and should waste no more of her (or our) time. Obama evidently gave speeches he was paid for during his campaign that was supposedly not quite ethical. I saw no one make a big issue out of that. Bill Clinton has made a fortune in speeches and books since he left office, and that will have to stop if Hillary elbows her way into the cabinet. All Palin did was an interview. Just...enough. Leave her be, let her live her life. Personally, I respect her a great deal, even if she does say 'you betcha'.

Nov 13th 2008 2:47PM To Obama's credit, he did refer to himself as a 'mutt', just like most Americans are. I did not vote for him, but it had nothing to do with his skin color. I would think, that with Colin Powell and Condoleeza Rice having held top TOP offices in the country, that a mixed race president should come as no surprise. The South...well, it is still a bit different down there and there is definitely room for improvement...not only to halt racially motivated hate crimes, but to reach an equilbrium where skin color simply does not come into play. Policy and experience should be the deciding factor, not percentage of pigmentation.
