Arranged Marriage: Better than the Bar Scene? {Lemondrop}

Nov 27th 2008 8:13AM I had some friends from Bangladesh who were in the U.S. for college. Over the course of 3 years I was with them while 4 of them would return home to get married in arranged marriages. Today they are some of the happiest marriages I know. A big part of their success was that their families were deeply involved in the decision. According to one of my friends, "Our families know us best and can see who we would be compatible with." I grew to respect arranged marriages as a result.
