Teacher Says She Doesn't Regret Punching Student in Face {ParentDish}
Jun 6th 2011 2:53PM
Firstly, he is a young male, she is female. He should not have been disrespectful to his teacher and also a woman for that matter. His parents should be ashamed of this video as it demonstrates how people are failing as parent.
I am the parent of a teen boy, had I watched my son in what I saw above, he would have gotten a worse beating from me and I would have demanded that Ms.Hadsock be reinstated immediately and that no charges be filed.. I don't see this boys parents condemning the fact that he is in her face and backing her up against a wall. Total disrespect and a dishonor to his parents.

It is scary to see the amount of people in a fog about what is happening to this country. It is time to clean house ladies and gentleman, none of the prevailing parties have any idea about what America needs to survive. I believe that we are on a sinking ship if we don't bail the dirty water out soon. Go Glen!!

I would have to agree with the Daryl, it doesn't take one ounce of energy to say hi back. We all work hard and some of us harder than John. Saying hello to someone wouldn't take one more calorie to burn to simply acknowledge someone.
I've run into many celebrities and all of them had been nice thus far. I will often avoid contact as not to bother them, but sometimes they initiate the conversation.
Some wonderful people I ran into over the years were, Telly Savalas, Mimi Rogers,Danny Aiello,Winton Marsales,KevinDobson, Anita Baker, Tiny Tim (who actually stopped his limo and came into meet everyone at work and take pictures) and many more and none have ever turned their faces away but either said hi or went the extra mile to say hello.
May God bless them all for the joy they have given us and may John someday come to realize that those "annoying" him are actually humans who love his work and recognize him for his work.

REPORT: Audi of America president de Nysschen calls Chevy Volt "a car for idiots," slams electric vehicles {Autoblog}
Sep 4th 2009 6:50PM
I intially thought I was going to get mad at this gent, but he is quite right. The Volt is simply hype. I own a Hybrid and probably wouldn't. I travel 170 miles a day and needed a cheap car that got good gas mileage. When I went car hunting (gas was $1.14 a gallon at the time) I found a hybrid that was sitting on the Honda Lot for two years. I nailed that car for half of its sticker and still have it now with 207k miles on it and even though the hybrid stuff crapped out at 130k miles, I continue to drive it getting 48-54 mpg.
The thing I noticed is this is only achievable with a small two seater car that is aerodynamic. The larger the car, the less of a return. Meaning there is a law of diminishing returns.
Before you waste the money on a hybrid and get little back on your investment, consider an economical small car that gets excellent gas mileage instead. They are cheaper and you will save in the insurance, initial cost, repairs and overall cost. A Ford Focus or Cheap Corolla is 10k cheaper and you achieve 35+ miles to the gallon with careful driving. The typical smart car gets 41mpg, how does a car smaller than mine and 10 years newer in technology get worse mileage than my 10 year old Honda Insight with a bad battery? This man is right, hybrids are ok when kept small and light and cheap. If you don't have all three, you are throwing you money away and you are an idiot.
Do HUMMER drivers get more tickets? A new study thinks so... {Autoblog}
Jan 22nd 2009 8:16AM
As someone who has been writing speeding and traffic citations for 20 years I can tell you that its not the vehicle, but the driver who causes the traffic stop. What I have noticed over the years is that certain people buy and drive certain cars. Typically Hummer owners are aggressive drivers that along with Lexus, Cadillac and Mercedes Benz owners feel a sense of entitlement which compels them to drive on shoulders when there is traffic, tailgate vehicles, speed and their personality generally drives them to feel they are above the law.
When stopping such vehicles, I am predisposed (but not stereotypically so) to what type of encounter I will have with the driver of "Alpha-male" vehicles before I even get to the side of it and find that I was correct. Yes, the vehicle does not always fit the owner and sometimes I am surprised that the person is not the personality I've demonstrated above.
Usually when I stop one of these vehicles I've mentioned (there are others) its for some pretty dangerous driving skills they've exhibited or a total lack of highway manners. This is in fact the reason why I've commented here.
Stuck in traffic? Look who is riding the shoulder. Getting headlights flashed at you from behind and you are not in the left lane? Look who is behind you. Someone has just cut you off? Look at the vehicles in these situations and more often than not its a mid to high end luxury vehicle or large SUV.
