I have to agree with him because I hate the fact that people can't just enjoy silence and solitude without an annoying cell phone being within ten feet of them. I'd love it if they didn't exist and think they are one of the worst inventions. You now have no privacy, you can be tracked 24/7, your service you pay outrageous fees for is not reliable and let's not forget people don't know how to use these things properly. There is no sense of public etiquette. They talk in movie theaters, when they're in the public bathroom on the toilet, in elevators, in line at and during checkout, gabbing through the drive through, etc.

Aug 16th 2009 12:50PM Has every moron posting ever bothered to read anything about copyright, design, or trademark laws? If they have used the clover and filed a design or trademark patent then they do have the right to sue if someone tries a knockoff.

If Klum or her partner had bothered to search patents then the suit could have been avoided. Designs must be a MINIMUM of 70% different from the original design/trademark, etc. That's from the artistic view. If it looks close enough to be associated with Van Cleef then they have enough to go after Klum. From design standpoint I'm sure it's much more detailed as to what can or can't be done.

There are patents and copyrights on medications and human genes, designs aren't that extreme.

Jun 19th 2009 6:59PM Actually, no the vets don't give us the freedom to go to an amusement park. That's utterly idiotic. They protect freedom in the same way that the oil companies provide this country it's oil - at a high price.
Every store I've worked at some jerk of a "veteran" wants to know what their DISCOUNT is for EVERYTHING! If your store doesn't have a special discount, card, reward program, etc. you are labeled unpatriotic. That is utterly pathetic. I'm sure there are people who just join in order to demand freebies everywhere they go. I'm fed up with that crappy attitude and I side with the manager. That park is a business FIRST! He wasn't going to ride anything and I would like to know why he was brought there to begin with. If he whines who's next? The grandparents are now going to demand the same? What about disabled people in general? What about people who might be too short to ride certain rides? It's utterly ridiculous that his family assumed he would get in free. By the way, we aren't FREE! Our government is a joke that is living off of the people and no longer fighting for our rights. Your freedom is an illusion and I can't believe there are so many STUPID people who think it's not okay to charge someone admission because they are a vet. He made the choice to put his life on the line. He made the choice to go to a park. If any idiot wants to tell me to head to Iraq learn to READ! This about an amusement park - not the war! I won't die for some rich oil drilling prick or idiot redneck! Cheney and Bush should get their worthless A$$E$ over there! Give them that message and get over it. The park manager is right, the idiots who automatically side with a vet without examining the facts are dead WRONG.
