One question that people on this forum have failed to ask themselves is "What if these terrible diseases came back?" In fact, they already are. Mumps outbreaks have been found in areas of New York where people are refusing to vaccinate their children.

The effectiveness of the vaccine relies on most people being vaccinated. (This is known as the "Herd effect") If enough people stop vaccinating their children, diseases such as polio and the mumps will once again kill and maim hundreds of thousands of people.

You wont be whining about vaccines when that happens.

The filmmaking process is probably a thousand times more complicated then some author sitting on his/her ass writing a book [Not saying anything about the book or author by the way] Books and films are two very different mediums, therefore even if a book and a film are about the same thing they will be very different. Hence the term film ADAPTATION.
