Jun 1st 2010 7:27PM being a spotter at a short track for ten years i've seen my share of flying debris. one time a wreck in turn 4 made a piece of fender fly up into the top row and cut someone on the arm. this 6 inch piece of fiber glass flew hundreds of feet in air like a frisbee in the wind and came back down into the stands from behind. it happens. and not just on the big tracks. the best thing anyone can do is build a fence strong enough to contain the whole car, but you cant do much about the smaller parts.
