Bailing on Oprah Will Dog Michael Vick {Fanhouse - Kevin Blackistone}
Feb 18th 2011 9:18PM I agree with nearly all of the posts that I have read here. Mr Vick, YES, MR VICK, has paid the price to society, and has truly lost his butt, in the process. My feeling is that oprah is behind the media buttheads who are harping now. She is NOT used to be told no. Mike had the balls to tell her no, for what reason, we do not have the right or need to know that, it is his decision. I applaud that decsion, annoint?? this old cow has no power, only thinks she does, and all of her butt sniffers. I DO KNOW, of course that oprah has done and will continue to do wonderful things in our world, no mistake there. She reminds me of my grandmother, who was the nosiest person on the earth, or at least the nosiest that I have ever been around. So anyway, bottom line, Michael did what he did, and I would congratulate him if I were every lucky enough to meet him. Keep up the good work Sir, your rewards will come.
Fedor vs. Silva Results {MMA Fighting}
Feb 14th 2011 4:45PM Have not seen the fight, but am very aware of Fedor and his reputation. What hurts so much anymore is these aging legends such as the Iceman, and several others getting drilled by guys who would never have been able to, when they were in their prime. The mind and heart says "bring it on" but the reflexes can't get it done. Will happen to the spider in a year or so as well. The age of 35 seems like the unmagical age, generally speaking. But what a wonderful sport for an old fart (going on 70) to have found in his twilight years. MMA, and boxing should never even be mentioned in the same breath, not comparable. Even though, some say Dana, has a cocky ass, the man has done a superb job with the sport. Thank you to ever fighter who ever entered into an octagon, anywhere and to Mr. White. The past 8 years of following this sport have been awesome for this fan. And least I forget, thank you to most of the very very credible officials from Big John to Herb, to Mario right down the line. A fan forever, which might not be too long, but as long as I am breathing. Bring it ON!!!
Steve Nash Still With the Suns ... for Now {Fanhouse NBA Blog}
Jan 5th 2011 10:59AM My two cents worth, the reunion of Nash, Amar'e, and coach D'Antoni, would be a great one. As far as what it would do over all for either team.... takes way more than one or two players to get the ellusive ring, seems to me a decent bench comes into play big time. It would cripple the Suns for years, but would make for some exciting run and gun by the Knicks. Having been a Suns fan since the days of the infamous loss of the coin flip, I would disagree with moving Steve, they have already given up too much for too little. But if we wait a month of so we will have anwers. Luck to all concerned.

Ask the AKC Animal Behaviorist - My Senior Dog Can't Hear or See Me Very Well. How Can I Communicate With Him? {Pawnation OLD}
Dec 29th 2010 7:41PM I, too am getting old, so as my 11 year old yellow lab reaches her final distination, I will not be able to get another dog, no other dog could ever replace her, but if I had longer to live, with this terminal illness, even at 70 I would strongly consider getting another dog. I have lost 2 dogs, one 13, and one 9 in the past 3 years, it takes a lot out of me. I was an only child but always had a dog, so I really feel as though they were my brothers/sisters growing up. Anyway, many splendid comments here, we who love our dogs so much have a vast wealth of knowledgeon what works and doesn't. For now, I just take my old yellow girl out when she is awake to prevent her "accidents" but if I am gone, she will have one, and I just mop up and nevrer say a word or look at her. My responsibility to her, to take care of her anyway I can, to have her put down is not an option as long as she is no suffereing, if she does become in pain and suffer, then yes, just as I would like to be help to go, I will help her go as well.
Tucker Carlson's Michael Vick Comment Unfair, Unbalanced {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Dec 29th 2010 7:19PM Whoa, whoa, ya'll. This is NOT about Vick, it is about the scum bag who made his christian comment. Michal Vick screwed up, he knows it , he will never forget it, partly because of a$$holes like Carlson, doesn't recognize that the punishment was meated out and time served, and the man, is trying to get his life back. Lost millions and millions of bucks, but landed on his feet, and is doing an unreal job on the field. Leave the man alone, and let him live in some sort of peace. Now as for Carlson...... give a fool enough rope and he will eventually hang himself...........
Tim Tebow Slays NFL Doubters {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Dec 29th 2010 11:59AM Very well done article. This young man, IS a winner. He will shine through all of the criticism and nay sayers. Not a Denver fan, at all, but over the years, have become impressed with the man, Tim Tebow. Nothing but the best for his future, the world needs more Tim Tebows.
LeBron James Bumps Erik Spoelstra {Fanhouse NBA Blog}
Nov 30th 2010 12:04AM Jorge, jorge JORGE!!! Take a peek in the mirror. Where to you get off blasting anyone for hate? Truth be known, you are not too happy with Jorge.You DO, however make many great points, all three of these young men are darn good role models, and seem to live a clean life. Sports at all levels needs more of that. I don't really think there are many "haters" as you seem to feel. Some folks get off on seeing failure especially from ones who ARE very good at what they do. God love you Jorge, we all have an equal shot at things, it is what we do, after we get that shot that makes the difference. I respect GM Riley, don't care for the man, but DO respect his professional accomplishments. Enough from me, just think we all need to "check 6" now and then. I know all of you Veterans out there know what that is. Have a good one you all, best of everything to those young exuberant professionals, they will, in fact get it right!!
Should You Sleep With Your Dog? The Pros and Cons of Sharing the Bed {Pawnation OLD}
Aug 30th 2010 1:18PM Interesting subject. I am a grown man, who was an only child, but almost always had a pup, as a youth. And of course still do have two. Sleeping in my bed has always been the norm, although I have wondered about deseases and bugs. Not enough to change anything. I have been through 6 different surgeries over the past 8 years, and my little doxie, Emma, (RIP baby girl) was there to lick away the tears from pain, and snuggle next to my hip as we slept. Are we who allow our dogs in bed wierdos? I give up but these little pals are wonderful companions, and never talk back. Spoiled, yet well mannered pups is the norm for this old guy. love my pups forever
Charles Barkley Rips LeBron, Miami's Big Three as 'Punks' {Fanhouse NBA Blog}
Aug 13th 2010 12:35PM I love LeBron James like, I love my 3 boys, and he had up to a point been wonderful for our game of hoops. That said, Sir Charles, is right on the money. Several punk moves by guys who are showing greed and immaturity. I also feel the same way about DWade, a fine young man, and an awesome athelete. Their greed motivated moves will not pay dividends immediately. Recall a few years ago when, yes, Sir Charles hooked up with other future HOF players in Houston, and the result was zippo. Recall, in LA choke, cough,sputter, when they had 4 future HOF guys when the mailman, and Payton, hooked up with the rest? result: zippo. Don't get me wrong, they WILL have success, especially with Riles envolved too, but I seriously doubt that it will be this year. Talk about motivation for LA (Kobe) not to forget the green and white. I have no personal wishes or desires, I am just still a bit let down by LeBron, and DWade for concocting this whole mess. THey all have huge targets on their backs, and it will not be as much of a "given" to whoop ass, night in and night out, and particularly in the playoffs. Is this good or bad for the game? Maybe in the long run, it could be good. Most of us who follow this great game closely just have an empty feeling for all that happened to the Cavs. gutted up basically. No ones fault, just more greed and no patience, the old instant gratification routine. But I will wait and watch and never wish any of the guys anything but the very best. As is said all the time "it is only a game". lol. God bless you all, and God bless our great USA
