A Message From the AOL.com Team {Portalblog}
Dec 21st 2012 9:34AM First lets all laugh at AOL not being political,lol. Next the problem is not a lack of gun laws its a lack of mental health care. Next people need to learn what the gun laws are, they do not sell automatic weapons in the USA, you can't go to your local gun shop and pick one up.
Until we deal with the mentally ill and getting care for them there will be tragedies like these. Funding for mental healthcare has been pretty much eliminated , here in NC they have closed down mental health care centers and funding for group homes is now set to run out if our governemnt doesn't do something fast those mentally ill people will be out on the streets. If you want to stop things like this from happening Americans need to wake up and realize the true problem is not guns or laws on guns but the lack of treatment for the mentally ill available.

That "faux" fur jacket could legally contain dog fur not noted on label {WalletPop}
May 18th 2010 11:04PM your right about that, and as the song goes a country boy can survive. Fact is I cant imagine anyone goes thru life without consuming or wearing some animal. At some point in time all animals were wild and hunted, then later they were domesticated and raised on farms.
Since most all clothing is made overseas now , that is just a risk you take for wanting cheap goods. Morale here might be buy American products where the manufacturers are required to abide by our laws and lable items correctly. Of course that will mean your going to pay more for them, and shop someplace besides Walmart.

May 18th 2010 10:47PM The most rediculous part of this is these democrat representatives are all up in arms about some real fur in the faux fur yet they are pro-abortion finding a problem with killing an amimal but no problem killing a baby. Something to think about ... its a fetus if its not wanted till birth but a baby from conception if its wanted. I think people need to get their morals checked , their priorities in order and then perhaps with those in place the rest of the "horrible injustices of the world" might be solved a bit easier.

Health Reform: A Year-by-Year List of What Happens and When {Politics Daily}
Mar 26th 2010 4:47PM And there lies the truth, when people need help there are plenty of charities out there to give what is needed and an endless supply of generous Americans to keep them funded. That is the American way, no one who truly is in need in this country has to do without, there is always a charity supported by normal people willing to step in where needed. The unfortunate fact is that while democrats claim to be generous and wanting to help the people , statistically they are not generous with thier own money just with other peoples money. Look it up, Republicans give far more to charity than democrats, that is a fact. Look up obama and see that while he had plenty to give he gave very little until he decided to run for president. Americans are always ready to help when its needed and often even when we ourselves can not really afford it we dig a little deeper. What we as Americans do not like is being forced by our government.

Mar 26th 2010 4:06PM not to mention the fact that there is no social security trust fund they spent it all and now they are not taking in enough to make the payments that they promised to those who are retired today. This means they will now have to figure out where else to tax us to pay for those who are retired now so they can continue to get their checks. This country is going bankrupt, this is just another step to total bankruptsy. Had we not paid into social security all these years and had we the individuals put our money into savings account and retirement accounts we would actually have money to retire on, and if we didn't live long enough then we would of had more than 250.00 for our families to of buried us with. We got screwed, still getting screwed and when its all said and done we will all be poor and doing without, except of course for those in power who have exempted themselves from our fates, realizing that congress, senate and the president all are guaranteed big retirements from your paychecks till they die and they wont be using the crappy healthcare they are forcing on us.

Mar 26th 2010 3:54PM there were suggestions made for the healthcare changes all of them were thrown out, things like tort reform , get rid of the ambulance chasing attorney like John Edwards who get rich suing doctors and medical providers and drug companies and then takes most of the award. Everything bad that happens is not someones fault, sometimes things happen, accidents happen we are after all dealing with people and when they do occur it does not entitle people to sue for millions. This has become a country of sue happy morons who think its how to make a living. If you are ever on a jury remember that if you award millions that money is going to come from somewhere , odds are somewhere is out of your wallet with higher prices that you will pay for the things that company made or sold or serviced and from the insurance you have to pay. Being able to buy insurance across state lines was also kicked to the curb by democrats, you know you cant have bipartisan support if you practice partisan politics, there is a difference between not offering any solutions and not being allowed to offer any solutions. Watch something besides cnn and msnbc and learn something.

Mar 26th 2010 3:36PM there is a difference in reform and having government force it upon you, are some of those things needed, sure they are, but the way to make a change is not by forcing it upon everyone but then exempting yourself from it.
I suppose you also believe its not going to cost us anymore to have this extra coverage of 30 million people right?
If this is such a grand thing they why is it that Obama is having to travel around to try to convince people that its a good thing?
Do you just like having to go to the government for everything, do they also supply you with your food and clothes and that roof over your head?
Grow up , its your job to make sure you take care of yourself and your children , its not the governments job to do that , its not your fellow taxpayers job to pay for your lack of responsibility.

Mar 26th 2010 3:25PM First off , driving is not a right, its a privilege, your not required to drive , your not required to own a car, but if you so choose to then you are required to buy insurance not to protect you but to protect others from you. This bill is unconstitutional, it forces you to buy health insurance whether or not you want it, whether or not you need it and whether or not you can afford it. Its much like requiring you to buy a GM car, that would be unconstitutional even though we are being forced to subsidize that company which will in the end go under anyway taking millions and billions of taxpayer money with it. But that is beside the point. Basically if your too ignorant to understand the difference between forcing people to buy health insurance and having to buy auto insurance then your obviously government educated and there again is proof positive of our educations system working hard to dummy down a huge segment of the population so upon graduation they can become good little servants and wait patiently to see what goodies the government will give them next all the while being ever so jealous of those who work their butts off to suceed and make the big bucks. You will obviously spend your entire life existance trying to figure out how to get someone else to pay for everything you need and want. Grow up, get a job and buy your own stuff and stop being jealous of those who figured out how to make a sucessful life without asking the government to steal money from others to give to you. No one owes you healthcare, no one owes you clothing, food or a roof either, this is America its up to you to figure out how to earn those things on your own, its the persuit of happiness along with life and liberty. Your parents gave you life by not aborting your stupid self, now do something with your life and your freedoms you have left, like maybe fight for them and stop waiting on the nanny state to take care of your sorry butt. You will only be as sucessful as you decide to be, no one not even the government can do that for you.
