Hedge fund genius out-earns J.K. Rowling, Oprah and Tiger combined {Daily Finance}
Nov 17th 2009 5:06PM Am I the only one out here who is sick of hearing about these clever market manipulators who become billionaires? So he bet that a segment of the financial markets would fall one way and not the other and happened to be right. So what? He's still little more than a very wealthy social parasite. He produces nothing that benefits society in any way, shape or form. He provides no service to his fellow man. By shrewdly calculating the odds of our bizarre financial system he's gotten filthy rich. Okay, fine. Now let him go back to the obscurity that his kind so justly deserve. He doesn't interest me at all.
Anita Dunn Departs, Obama Gets Third Communications Director {Politics Daily}
Nov 10th 2009 6:46PM Wow! That is an impressive set of accomplishments. He's been a busy guy. Of course it is dwarfed by the accomplishments of his predecessor who: 1) tripled the federal debt, 2) invaded another country looking for imaginary weapons of mass destruction and got us stalled in a two trillion dollar quagmire, 3) allowed under-regulated banks to run rampant, go broke, and nearly ruin our economic system, 4) piss-off virtually every other government in the world, 5) fix it so that pharmaceutical companies can indulge in price-gouging of Americans while selling their drugs at a third the price in Canada, 6) and almost single-handedly destroy the English language as we know it through some of the most convoluted and garbled attempts at articulation the world has ever seen or heard [did you know he thinks that "Mexican" is a language?] Here's hoping Obama will be even half as good as George Dubya was.
Walmart levies lifetime ban against gay couple {Daily Finance}
Nov 10th 2009 7:12AM Somehow I get the feeling that we are not getting the whole story here. I'd like to hear both WalMart's side of the story and the police department's version of events. The fact that the gay lifestyle, which should be irrelevant, is being pushed as a significant factor (for no discerbable reason) leads me to believe that these two attorneys are angling for a nice big fat legal settlement when they sue on grounds of discrimination and bias. They're both attorneys and I'll bet you dollars to donuts that they've got the legal briefs prepared already for litigation in civil court. Anybody else see that coming too?
New Mexico Women's Soccer Suspends Elizabeth Lambert {Fanhouse Backporch}
Nov 9th 2009 8:00PM She's in the wrong sport. Put her in a boxing ring and see how good she is at that. If she wants to punch other players, that's where she belongs.

Great Job Openings, No Candidates {Careers Articles}
Nov 5th 2009 7:41PM Clarissa (and others in her predicament) let me suggest that you consider an entry level civil service position at the federal, state, county or local level. People with Information Technology skills are in demand in government offices. Entry level won't pay much but you'll get experience, a chance to advance, and having a government job always looks good on your resume. I am a civil engineer at one of the larger state DOTs in the USA and our own I.T. staff are essential to running the organization. Check it out.
Elementary School Teacher Offers Lesson in Anatomy {Asylum}
Nov 4th 2009 2:55AM Why would that make her unfit to be a teacher? If any of the boys in her class happen to surf that website it will just give them more reason to go to school. I know, I was once a horny little boy too and I remember having a crush on the hot young lady teacher.
Poker vs. Pole Dancing -- What's More of a Sport? {Asylum}
Nov 4th 2009 2:49AM I'll go with the pole dancing. Watching people play poker is more boring than watching paint dry.
Nicolas Cage owes IRS $6 million {WalletPop}
Nov 4th 2009 2:37AM So the royalty checks have stopped rolling in? Big surprise there, huh? He hasn't made a decent film since "Moonstruck." Most of the characters he plays are dimwits; like the boozing, self-pitying fool in "Leaving Las Vegas." The guy's a good actor but he picks lousy scripts. Still, anyone who makes 20 million per film should not be broke. Keep track of your own finances, bozo, and don't trust "advisors."
How to Fix 'The Jay Leno Show' {Inside TV Blog}
Nov 2nd 2009 4:49PM I never understood why a guy would walk away from an established top spot on the talk show pyramid just to start another talk show with no established audience. It makes no sense. If Leno wanted to continue doing talk TV he should have stayed where he was. Carson left the show for a very good reason--he retired. Leno should be doing the same thing.
